I stayed here for a recent meeting--about 10-15 min walk to convention center. Much more enjoyable than one of the big hotels my colleagues stayed in, which charge a lot for parking and wi-fi and don't include breakfast. Felt like staying with friends. Chris is a gem. He prepared a nice breakfast of fresh fruit and a hot dish (different...

I have to say our Stay with O’ Canada House was simply awesome. As our First visit to Vancouver BC, Suzan and her staff where helpful with suggestions for places to visit and things to do. My wife has several food restrictions and Suzan took these into account as she made breakfast for us each morning and made sure she...

Very charming small room with a divine bed and lovely bedcovers; this was great for the colder-than-usual temperatures at the end of February. Delicious, home-made snacks available at all hours, with a fantastic breakfast in the morning. Owner and staff very accomodating. I can't wait to return.

My adult daughter and I planned a get-a-way to Vancouver - and we found a gem to stay at. This inn/b&b is so central for everything. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The after-hours pantry for a snack or beverage was a very nice touch. The breakfasts were creative, filling, tasty and plentiful. A tv and small fridge in...

Got a really great deal and stayed at the O' Canada house a few weeks ago. The penthouse suite was very comfortable and both me and my friend slept very well in the cozy king size beds. The breakfasts were also very good and the people who worked there were extremely friend and helpful.

As Vancouverites, this was a Christmas present to ourselves. We came for a hockey game, the theatre and to deliver Christmas presents. Our son lives in the next block so we wanted somewhere close and having walked past here a number of times this became our number 1 choice. We LOVED it, from the lovely welcome and mini-tour to show...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
