We enjoyed our one night stay at this quiet charming well maintained B&B with secure parking available. The owners were accessible, pleasant and clearly care about the details. Sherry, muffins and a stocked pantry are a nice touch. Charmingly decorated for Christmas. Be sure to ask for full description of planned breakfast from owners when checking in since waitress' sketchy description did not convey the thoughtful integration of the appetizing breakfast plate.

We chose to stay at O Canada after checking out other hotels/B&B’s, because of its uniqueness. It was an absolute joy to be a guest at this wonderful old building. Our room, West wing, was not the largest, but was comfortable and clean. Due to covid you ordered your breakfast the previous day, which was beautifully presented and extremely tasty, and reserved your time slot. It worked very well. The 24 hour pantry was a lovely extra to enjoy. The location couldn’t have been better, halfway between Downtown and Granville island ferry and even close to Robson street shops. The staff are awesome and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. What more do you need. I would 100% recommend a stay at the beautiful B&B

Fantastic all round! We stayed in the Penthouse which was absolutely beautiful! Very spacious with two extremely comfortable beds and bedding, I struggle to think of anywhere I have stayed with better beds! Room was very well equipped and SO quiet! For the middle of a city I was amazed at the peacefulness of the place. Then there’s breakfast, wow! Just fantastic! You choose the previous night between a sweet or savoury option, and I have to say every morning it was delicious! Crepes, waffles, pancakes - mmmm! There is also a pantry with freshly made cookies and cake, plus a fridge with juices, the cookies are fab! I would highly recommend O Canada House, very homely and comfortable. Spotlessly clean, really friendly staff, very comfortable and peaceful. I would certainly return if I revisited Vancouver. Thank you for a lovely stay!

It's true, the house and furnishings are dated but their hospitality is second to none. We arrived quite early and our room was cleaned and ready for us. It was bright, sunny and cheerful inside. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the bed was quite comfortable. The breakfast was good and is served to you in their pleasant dining room. If you want something to take on the run or get hungry during the day, just pop into the pantry and help yourself.
Everybody who works there is over the top friendly and helpful.
The location was not as convenient as I had hoped and thought it would be. If you're not willing to get your steps in, you might need to think twice about staying here.

We had to come to Vancouver for business so needed to be downtown. We chose O’Canada due to its location and the reviews. The lead up to our trip was not good, highways destroyed by floods meant we had to fly, snow storms delayed our flight by 10 hours so to arrive at this lovely house was a blessing. Such a lovely clean, characterful and comfortable room and en-suite! The king bed was so comfortable, we had a great nights sleep. In the morning we had to race out early for our appointment so thought we likely had missed breakfast but the staff were so accommodating and cooked us up something when we got back. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming, the accommodation great and the location ideal for downtown Vancouver.

What a charming guesthouse!
Fantastic location, just a 2 minute walk from all the local amenities.
Our room had a four poster bed and a huge bathroom.
Breakfast here was wonderful. You were asked to let them know the day before what you would like and it was all cooked fresh for you.
We had coffee in the lounge after breakfast which was very relaxing.
The lady who served our breakfast (and I think she also cleaned our room) was very friendly and helpful.
We hired some bicycles and cycled around Stanley Park which is a must do.
Would definitely recommend and return

Absolutely fabulous place to stay while visiting Vancouver! Warm welcome, home cooking and very friendly hosts all added to our great experience staying at this special, historic house. Location is very convenient, and our room was really comfortable. We will be back, and will also recommend it to all our travelling friends!

Lovely house with excellent accommodations. The breakfast was quality with a variety of both healthy and decadent choices. This is definitely a business rather than family home, but the staff work hard to ensure a comfortable stay. The location is much closer to downtown, so there were street noises. Our biggest disappointment was the entire third floor is one suite, and as in our case, one loud guest or group can ruin a good night sleep. It sounded as if people were holding up then dropping full suitcases on the floor above us. Several times it actually caused our windows to rattle.

A personal touch, a breakfast, an old whirley feel and amazing cookies or whatever amazing stuff is baked. The rooms are wonderful too and spacious. The only thing we had a bit of an issue with was the weird smell but we could not ascertain whether that was the house or coming from outside......Service was impeccable and we would rebook in a heartbeat.

We’ve just enjoyed three wonderful nights here in their Penthouse suite which was supremely comfortable, huge and well appointed. Everything about the O Canada was perfect, a 20 minute walk to downtown, the breakfast was great, the staff very welcoming and helpful; we loved this unique accommodation and it made such a refreshing change from the standard city hotel rooms. It was a great base to explore from and lovely to be able to come back to a such a calm house after a busy day on our feet to enjoy tea and cake, provided daily. We would not hesitate to recommend and would definitely return.

We did Grouse Mountain and it was a highlight of our stay in Vancouver. We also walked to Gastown and the seafront. If you have time a visit to Granville is also worthwhile We found eating out in Vancouver expensive but the food always good. We ate at a couple of places in Yaletown. Can't remember the name of the eat street but it is easy to find. Hope this helps
