The Century Plaza Hotel offers spacious rooms equipped with kitchenettes, which guests have found to be clean and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable atmosphere. While some travelers consider the decor a bit dated and have had issues with temperature control, the convenience of on-site dining and a central location close to attractions is a consistent plus. Guest opinions on value and service vary, with praise for the friendly staff alongside experiences of subpar service. Overall, the hotel's amenities and prime location are highlights for visitors.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel and we really enjoyed our stay.
Our Jr Suite on the 21st floor had wonderful views. It was pretty amazing.
The hotel itself is nice. Staff is friendly.
The room we had is older and the bed was a little worn, however, everything was clean, and you could not get a better location for the price point.
The room was large and open. Had microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, electric kettle. The hotel brought us silverware promptly when asked. They were super nice.
There is a grocery nearby and we really were in the heart of Vancouver. Great walkable neighborhood.
This is where I will be staying again for future visits.

Stayed 4 nights, hotel in good location walkable to most of the attractions, Buzzard station on expo line 15 min walk accessible by bus. Buy a tourist day pass which is good for all transportation. Front desk staff friendly and ok. When raining borrowed umbrella from the front desk. Room was spacious and with a good view. Bathroom toiletries ok, room service good. For the room price which is quite expensive breakfast is not included. IGA grocery store is next door, which is a blessing has good variety of sandwiches, Indian food take out etc. Room has a microwave, coffee maker. Overall good hotel recommend it for the location.

I would recommend staying here and we'd likely stay again. It's location is walkable to everything in the city, the rooms were relatively big, and it was less expensive than most of the other hotels in the city that are in a similar area. Be careful staying at places east of here on Granville as those areas can get a little sketchy.

They also had a deal with free parking, which was nice, because most places charge $20-40/night for parking and they let us keep the car there all day on check in and checkout day.

The double beds and pillows weren't the most comfortable in the world, but they were fine for a short stay. Bring ear plugs if street noise bothers you as you're right in the middle of the city. The pool was also ok, but the water and the A/C in the pool room was a bit chilly so we didn't stay long.

Amazing Customer Service. Thank you to all of you who made our stay pleasant. The “Beyond Coffee” cafe was delicious, you could choose medium or dark roast when ordering, they were so nice to fill my water container daily. The hotel gave us two bottles of water complimentary and that is surely an added plus. We also received $10.00 daily voucher for the days we chose not to have housekeeping service. So we used that for the delicious coffee. The rooms were comfortable and clean, sheets and beds fresh and comfortable. And a major plus for having robes for my hubby and me. I could not ask for more. We needed the safe to be opened and the maintenance person was amazing, young, helpful, I believe he said he was from Tibet. Such a special man. Also, Matthew from Prime Steakhouse was so kind when we used a voucher to purchase a burger to go. Overwhelming polite and wonderful. These two men will bless these companies if they become managers. We will definitely promote this hotel to anyone visiting Vancouver.

Amazing quality for the price! Clean and comfortable, a great value in a high priced city.
Have stayed here twice and will stay here again.

1 bedroom unit with balcony and kitchen: a corner unit, light and airy. We prepped light meals & could safely store and reheat leftovers. Comfy couch and armchair. Bedroom had 2 double beds, comfy and clean
Great location, 10-20-30min walk in any direction gets you anywhere you want to be in this area:
Beer/liquor can be bought at Sheraton Wall or Sutton Place hotels, there’s a grocery store just to the East 5min walk… a bit further east good shopping..and the Cruise ship terminal…..go north for Stanley Park, go west for Davie Street (nightlife, restaurants/cafes/bakeries, light shopping, etc … further west for Granville Island & the cute little water buses. Lots of bike lanes if you bring your own or use BikeShare. Easily got Uber from train station and to cruise ship terminal.

The room was amazingly spacious and had recently been renewed. It was very clean and lovely with all new furnishings. We were delighted. We had parking included in our chosen rate (food voucher was other option) which is a great benefit downtown. We found the location to be handy - you can walk to any of the popular areas of the city from here. It was great value and I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent experience!
The hotel is on Burrad street, the heart of Downtown and yet very quiet and cosy. We had booked a Studio room. It was very spacious, had a well equipped pantry ( cooking range, coffee machine, kettle, referigerator, microwave, cooking & serving utensils). The thoughtfulness can be gauged as even a scotch brite and kitchen towels were kept with the cleaning liquid.
Beautiful views of downtown; very friendly staff - they helped us book local sightseeing tours and a tour to Victoria island, gave us discount vouchers for Fly over Canada.
Will surely stay there again

I bought two rooms and somehow the number of guests changed on me when getting my reservation. When I arrived at the hotel the guest service manager started out being rude. Then he tried to charge me $30 per person additional for the rooms. We had 5 people. Two in one room and three in another. He immediately without even saying hello said you are paying $30 a piece for guests. I said each room should be fine with two guest and if anything I would only pay one $30 fee. He argued with me then finally calling the booking company he came back and agreed to one $30. The rooms were awful! Outdated! Bed was hard! The windows were not insulated. We heard every noise outside and had a large draft. Awful!

Response from Guest Services, Guest Services / Front Office at Century Plaza Hotel
Responded 1 Nov 2024
Thank you for staying with us and posting your review. Our apologies for how we made you feel on arrival. Our room rates are based on single/double occupancy, additional guests is $30 plus taxes per night. Guests are many times surprised to find this additional charge on arrival when travelling with additional guests that were not noted on the booking. Our guests services try our best to explain this to guests, this information is available online and on partner sites. But clearly we could do better. I am sorry we did not meet your expectations in the recently updated room and you found the new mattress to be hard. We are an older hotel, our windows are single paned, due to the way it was built originally we are unable to add layers. We are working on long term plans for the property. We hope this does not stop you from visiting Beautiful Vancouver again. Thank you for being our guest.

We stayed for four nights. Our accommodation comprised of a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and lounge area. The furniture and decor was very basic and crying out for modernisation, however everything was clean and perfectly adequate. Housekeeping was daily although there was an option to skip this on a day-to-day basis, in return you are rewarded with a €10 voucher which can be used in the restaurant or the coffee shop. We really liked this environmentally friendly option. We had one breakfast and one evening meal, both of which were delicious. The location is good and fairly central with the hop on/off bus pick up point just outside. Overall a good hotel just in need of a make over

Thank you for your query. Taxi will be the best way to get to the station at that time. It is a short ride and would cost you between CAD 10 - 15.
