Our daughter received the phone call that she had a kidney waiting and my husband and I rushed over to be with her. We booked the first night through hotels.com and it was a decent rate. We phoned the hotel and they did not have a suite with a double bed just twin beds. Through hotels.com we were able to...

We were very surprised of this hotel. We had a great suite on the 23rd floor with a great view. The suite is very well equipped even with dish washer and washing machine. Everything was very clean and comfortable. In the business center you can checkin for Air Canada flights for free.GREAT HOTEL!

We spent 4 nights at the end of our 4 week road trip mostly of the North West of USA. It was perfect place the relax before the trip back to Australia. The suite was on the 12 floor overlooking the city and harbour and had all the facilities we needed including washing machine and kitchen. Unfortunately the weather wasn't...

As first time visitors to Vancouver we couldn't have chosen a better hotel. This was walking distance to many of Vancouver's attractions, and with a hop on hop off bus right out the door. We had great views, being 22 floors up, and with a small child it was terrific having a bakery, greengrocer, supermarket and even a weekend farmer's...

We spent three nights in one of these modern apartments. They are attractive, well equipped, functional and ideal for a self-catering stay in a central location. The one-bedroom apartment was spotlessly clean with timber floors and modern fixtures and fittings. The kitchen/lounge area was equipped with a washing/drying machine, and oven/hot plates cooker, microwave, dishwasher, sparkling stainless steel sink and...

We stayed in July overnight, after taking the Bolt Bus from Seattle. Made the reservation the prior night on hotel.com. Upon arrival, they had no record of reservation. I provided the confirmation number and showed them the email on my smartphone. But they would not accept it. The desk clerk proceeded to call hotel.com and give me the run around,...

This is a high rise hotel in an interesting low rise neighborhood somewhat reminiscent of the Village in NYC--lots of small shops and ethnic restaurants and a vibrant gay community. Not far by bus or taxi to anything in downtown Vancouver. Rooms have their own balconies and may have good views of water (at a higher cost). Our room on...

We found this hotel to be a decent hotel for a good price. The area is safe and generally quiet. it is in a good location and driving around in Vancouver from here was easy. you can park on site which costs about $20/night but is safe and easy. Vancouver would have to be my favourite city in the world...

The Sandman Suites on Davey is so much better than it's sister hotel in Vancouver. Nicely appointed rooms including a clothes washer/drier (albeit a unit that takes about 4 hours to finish the drying cycle...just go out and leave it). Separate bedroom, full kitchen, nice city skyline view, free wifi, located in a good restaurant area of Vancouver. We would...

Staying in Davie Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Davie Village
Davie Village is the vital LGBTQ heart of Vancouver. It is the only like area in the world to have a permanent four-way rainbow crosswalk, to symbolise the city's solidarity with many of the businesses, ranging from bars to bookstores, that keep the area vibrant. By day, it is a people-watching stop, with fantastic boutique cafes, but at night is when it really shines, humming with neon lights and nightclub music inside many of the hip and trendy bars and dance halls. The area is diverse and welcoming, and its supportive community makes for a tight-knit group of independent and creative shops.

  • Nice space but those old balcony doors will fall off one day.
  • The right side of the bed is most used.
