The bath room is very clean. The room is spacious. The kitchen has a fridge and a dishwasher. We never cooked here, but you can see that the the kitchen is going to be very functional. The unit is recently renovated. Count the kitchen table, you have three desk to work on.

This former Cascadia Hotel has been taken over by the Marriott Residence Inn (and seems to be in the process of being updated - there are some blemishes that could use attention) - as mentioned in another review the ceilings can feel a bit low - but no worse then many hotels in Asia. The rooms are clean and the...

Dear drjil, This Residence Inn was fully renovated (from the former Cascadia Hotel as mentioned in your review) 4 years ago. The ceiling height in the suites is standard height with some suites having a bulkhead positioned against walls to ensure they do not interfere with the room space. Parking is a standard fee in downtown hotels, but complimentary breakfast...

We stayed a few nights over the spring break. We found the rooms very dark with low ceilings and not quite matching the quality highlighted on the website. That being said the breakfast was fantastic!

Dear chl0e67, Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear you found the rooms dark. The photos on our website were taken a few months ago (after your stay during Spring Break) and reflect the true lighting in the rooms from natural light. No electricity was used. All our rooms have extremely large windows and more than normal light...

We were delighted with our choice of hotel in Vancouver. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is wonderfully furnished with a fully stocked kitchenette. The bathroom amenities are high quality, and the beds very comfortable. The location is fabulous, walking distance to all of the places we wanted to go. An extra bonus is the on off bus...

We came to celebrate our anniversary and we're very happy with our stay here! The hardest part is dealing with one way streets and detours, but once we figured it out, we were delighted. Underground security parking, beautiful lobby, extremely friendly helpful staff, well appointed (Paul Mitchell), and clean room. Kitchen, coffee, robes, view and best of all nice large...

Loved this hotel, we were on the 20th floor. Had a nice view and everything in our room was modern and clean. The bed was really comfortable and the sheets crisp and clean. We used the pool and weight room as well. Kids liked the pool but it could have been a bit warmer. Overall this hotel is amazing and...

Beautiful property centrally located. Stars was very friendly at check-in and throughout the visit. Underground parking a little tight for bigger cars, and security made me feel safe. Breakfast buffet was always full with many choices. Wifi was robust and no drops. Will be back. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for three nights in a skyline king studio on the 18th floor and were mostly delighted with what this hotel has to offer. Our immaculate room had a comfortable bed; a kitchenette, which we never used; plenty of space; and bathrobes and slippers, which we truly appreciated. I loved the large terrace with table and chairs as...

We discovered the Residence Inn a few months ago. We have been here twice now. The hotel is located just off one of the major thoroughfares in downtown Vancouver. Robson is a few blocks a way. Yet, because the hotel is one block off the thorough fare it is quiet. The parking is adequate, though an extra charge. Nonetheless, it...

Staying in Davie Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Davie Village
Davie Village is the vital LGBTQ heart of Vancouver. It is the only like area in the world to have a permanent four-way rainbow crosswalk, to symbolise the city's solidarity with many of the businesses, ranging from bars to bookstores, that keep the area vibrant. By day, it is a people-watching stop, with fantastic boutique cafes, but at night is when it really shines, humming with neon lights and nightclub music inside many of the hip and trendy bars and dance halls. The area is diverse and welcoming, and its supportive community makes for a tight-knit group of independent and creative shops.
