Great rooms, location, staff and reasonably priced. The Sunset Inn is close to all sorts of restaurants with easy access to downtown. I have stayed here twice in the last year and will do so again. It is my first choice when booking in Vancouver.

I was looking for an affordable place to stay for one night and stumbled across this little gem late at night. The location provides for easy access to all areas downtown and to UBC. The room was clean, quite and very spacious. If I were staying longer I'm sure the kitchen would come in handy. Free parking is an added...

Everything about Sunset Inn and Suites is top notch. The staff is AWESOME! They are all super friendly and helpful. You will be treated like guests. Elvis Scott sent us a wonderful email outlining dining and entertainment tips. Brian at the front desk got us in early. The kitchens are very well stocked. My husband and I could have easily...

We have always stayed on Robson Street on past visits into the city, or crash with friends at Nelson & Denman. This time there were no rate specials and we decided to break with habit and look elsewhere, and found The Sunset Inn on Burnaby Street just one block back from Davie. What a find! Huge suite - they said...

The suite is spacious, clean and quite reasonable. There is a microwave and a full size refrigerator. The kitchen and its supplies are ample. The walls are thick which brings quiet at night. I was relieved that this was not a bachelor party hotel. The guests value their peace of mind. I was with two other very picky people who...

Comfortable beds, room was recently updated. Well maintained and clean. Parking was a little on the tight side. Very close to English bay and Davie Street. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and would recommend to others.

We were surprised by the value. Our suite was a small apartment, very clean, comfortable, and nice. The location worked out well for us, and the staff was nice and helpful. Take the restaurant and tour advice of the Welsh guy at the desk with a grain of salt. Hon's Chinese and the Big Bus tour didn't work out for...

Location, near False Creek Ferries was a plus, and the kitchen would have me go back, if I had more than a two day stay. Good value, clean, worked for me! The media system was more complex than I would have liked. I wasn't prepared to put more than cursory energy into it. So, no CBC News Network for me....

Beautiful place. Stayed in a suite and it was great. Clean, spacious and only $110 a night!! Front desk is extremely helpful. Specially Arabella. She Recommended placed to eat and where to go sightseeing. Would definitely stay there again if ever in the Vancouver area.

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
