We recently enjoyed an overnight stay at the Metropolitan Hotel to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary. What a great location downtown! Walking distance to shopping and dining. We had booked a luxury king room and were delighted to find we'd been upgraded to a junior suite, complete with complementary fruit and cheese plate and sparkling water! A very comfortable king...

Wonderful hotel with lots of room in the two person room. The staff was very accommodating and we loved the food, including three teenager daughters. Would stay there again. The only slight downside is the elevators seem to be slow but the stairs were easy to access and were clean. Love the hotel, personnel and site!

The Metropolitan Hotel is close to everything, nicely maintained, staffed with lovely people and the rooms are comfortable and affordable. We spent one night during Thanksgiving weekend for shopping and visiting friends, and had a delightful time. One elevator was down, but our wait times were still quite reasonable, so it was not a problem. The bed is very comfortable,...

We stayed at the Met as part of a Living Social experience and were very pleased. The hotel is older but very well maintained. Our room was large, and the bathroom was big enough for a separate tub and shower. A real highlight was the bed and linens--so comfortable. The location could not have been better; we were able to...

My husband and I took a last minute trip to Vancouver and decided to stay at the Met because of their location, their pet friendly policy and their rates. The hotel was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful. There were a few things that could have made our stay much better: Our bed was really hard and didn't...

Thank you for your comments and we trust that you had a great time in Diva at the Met. It is great that you enjoyed your room, and found the spaciousness of our bathrooms comforting. As for the parking, we recommend to everyone to let our valet park their cars, as the space is very tight in our lot. It...

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
