The local area is very disturbing with street sleepers lining the walkways, closed shops and litter. There is no latch on the window and no hair dryer in the room. There is no aircon either. The breakfast room is dimly lit. Definitely would not return.
Until the local area is made safe (treatment of the drug addicts who shoot up on the main street, and homes for the scores of rough sleepers) the hotel will be starved of guests. Until occupancy rates rise there will be no money for essentials...More
The location to sites is perfect. Less than a $10 taxi ride to Gastown or the cruise port. Price is perfect. Deidra at the front desk is amazing and so personable. I'll stay here next time. Homeless persons across the road but they are harmless....More

We stay in cheap places. I am used to the bare minimum, especially for the price. We checked in to a room where we could not open either of our suitcases as our floor space was limited. And by limited I mean I couldn't have...More

A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of
Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.

Hi, very easy you can flag them down, they are in abundance and also the hotels including Patricia will call them for you. Taxis are pretty cheap, surprisingly from Vancouver Airport to the patricia was about 35.00 with tip. I used Yellow Cab and another competitor .. Cost about 6-7 dollars from City Center. Also the bus is Amazing. For 2.75 Canadian you can ride for 3 hours and transfer on any bus and the skytrain is another option and must do. Hope this helps

Yes, although they do require a valid credit card to have on file. This place is best avoided unless You are familiar with Vancouver. It is the corner/hub (Jackson and Hastings) for Vancouver's mostly addicted prostitutes. My Hubby's suggestion if You do decide to stay at the "Pat is to call Mon-Fri. PST and negotiate a deal with Lindsay (i.e.: a cash deposit refundable upon check out) Although there are many great attractions very close by it is also literally a stones throw away from every drug and vice known to humankind. If You are truly interested in seeing all of Vancouver ask Lindsay about a weekly rate after your first nights stay. The transit system here is the cheapest in North America. Under 10.00 CDN will get You to any of the nearby mountains (the pass itself is valid from the the first bus in the AM till the last Skytrain, Seabus or Bus till well after midnight in the AM the next day (20+hours and no surcharges or extras added on) The bus routes are all turn around routes, so if You see something that catches your eye, jump off and check it out. To get back cross the road from the bus You jumped off, or jump back on and/or take the entire route round trip. Bus Information is 604-953-3333 and there hours are from 6:00AM till midnight (have a pen handy because if You can follow accurate instructions the bus system is simply awesome. We wish You an enjoyable stay in Vancouver. D and t.
