There are plusses and minuses for this hotel. The Plus: The hotel is recently renovated and very clean. Several minuses:
If don’t have a car, it is about ½ mile walk to the Joyce-Collingwood “Sky Train” (metro) station. You can get a bus from the station to Kingsway.
There is no breakfast at Cassandra (except coffee or tea in your room). The closest places to get coffee are either Starbucks at the Kingsway Safeway or Trees Bistro across from the Skytrain station, both about ½ mile walk.
Not much variety in the area restaurants; almost all are Chinese. There is one Indian restaurant (good), and a couple of Japanese and Korean. Also, a Filipino restaurant and Subway Sandwich shop across from the station; another Subway across from Safeway.
The front desk is staffed only from 4 pm till 10:30 pm. Even though I had already provided my arrival time, I had to call on the phone before someone appeared at the front desk. Be sure to read the cancellation policy before booking.
The room rates are quite expensive for what it is. Unfortunately Vancouver has some of the most outrageous hotel room rates I have ever encountered. All things considered, it was probably as reasonable a price as you will find in Vancouver and was relatively easy getting to the city centre via Skytrain.
Summary: Not my first choice for location, but it was OK for the price compared to others I looked at.

We spent 4 nights in Cassandra Hotel. It is a nice hotel well situated with bus and metro stations nearby that can give you easy access to go to downtown vancouver. Rooms are big and comfortable with nice view of the city. If you travel on a budget, it is Good for the price we paid for.

This lovely hotel in the Collingwood area has gotten a great facelift right down to the incredible mural on her front! Thank you to all the staff for your patience and information all of whom were super welcoming, knowedgeable and helpful. Loved having the fridge, microwave and coffee maker on the caddy - its concise and effective and a huge selling point for us as we have special dietary needs. Big thanks to to Cassandra for these amenities and for the relaxing sauna and hotpool ( which we love!) The staff was super friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgable - not just about the hotel but the entire neighborhood. I also called before we came down and the staff was able to tell me exactly what amenities we would have in our room, this was great stress relief and allowed me enjoy our trip so much more again a big thank to the staff and management at the beautifully renovated Cassandra. Many thanks again, we will be back!

My experience at this hotel has been excellent. During my extended stay while looking for a new apartment, the staff was very accommodating and even helped me secure a discount to help me save money. The hotel is located in a safe area with convenient access to many nearby restaurants, some of which are open late or even 24 hours (Golden Train Resto) and Dairy Queen open until 5am. Additionally, the proximity of a bus stop just a few steps away was very convenient going to Metrotown or main city. The room was very clean, and I particularly enjoyed the calming wall lighting.
I appreciate the hospitality of the staff and truly love this hotel.

It's comfortable, and keyless, everything its by code, very safe, only with one code you can get into your room, you hve microwave, mini-fridge and coffee machine. The beds are comfortable and clean. And the attention from Hanah was very pleasant, gave us the best rate even help us for we can stay bit more in the room and with a fare cost. Thank you, so quiet place good for rest.

The Cassandra Hotel is an absolutely beautiful hotel that every person visiting Vancouver should stay at! It is close to everything including the airport and downtown. I was flying into Vancouver on an international flight and the customer service agents contacted me to confirm my reservation and arrival time. I was scheduled to arrive late and they worked with me to check-in remotely. They provided me with detailed instructions on how to enter the hotel after hours. They have these new, fancy electronic security locks for both building and room access, which both provide a sense of security and ease of access for late arrivals like me. The customer service agents were always very friendly, helpful, responsive, and professional. In particular, Handra corresponded with me throughout the day and gave me updates via text and email. It turns out that I checked in right as they were closing, but she stayed late to make sure that I was settled for the evening. I was given a complimentary soda, the WiFi password, and was escorted to my room to make sure I was able to get in ok. The room itself is spacious, clean, and has comfortable furniture with modern appliances including a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and flatscreen TV. Parking is located right beside the hotel with plenty of spaces for hotel guests. I used Expedia to book the reservation, but I believe that it can also be booked on other websites as well. All of these things considered, I couldn’t be happier with my choice of hotel. When I return to Vancouver in the future, I will for sure be staying here. I rate the hotel very highly and recommend it to everyone!

Cleanliness — spot on, I appreciate the diligent cleaning which is an essential for someone with a dust allergy.
Location — walking distance to the train station, bus stop, grocers, and many dining options.
Services — Handra is an asset. The care is beyond her duty. Easily available for any requests. From food recommendations, to my request for a box and a tape. Daily refreshment at the lobby is good. Cookies were nice.
Others — free parking, new lift, safe key access.

This hotel deserves five star rate because the service of the lady in reception is so exceptional. We went to three different hotel before Uber driver dropped us here. She is so accommodating giving us clear instructions politely and assisted very helpful. Thanks lady! The room you assigned is good and refreshing. Very clean room.

The rooms are more than spacious, comfortable beds and staff trained to keep the hotel spic and span make this place the premiere place to stay in Vancouver. So close to restaurants that you can walk.

Wonderful place to stay. I don’t normally stay in hotels but this was perfect – the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are quiet. The staff by the way were exceptional. Handra really went out of her way to make sure everyone got what they needed, whether it was directions, recommendations, or help with their transportation. The internet is extremely fast. Also, we enjoyed the treats in their lobby, their delicious iced cold drinks. My GF and I had a great time.

I used my credit card for the security deposit. The time when i check to the front desk and told me that the security deposit will be refunded to my account in 1 to 3 months. I said to myself? Well i am here now in this hotel and i need to sleep right away so i have no choice but to accept it.
When i already check out my room and i ask again the front desk about it and they said that it will be refunded to my account soon. But guess what it is almost 5 months now and i still do not have my money back to my account. So i have been contacted this manager Lanie since i got her number and she told me that the money was refunded to my account already during my check out. But non of there refund appear on my bank statement. The next response she said that she want me to contact my bank and it is still the same. And again she have another reason she want a waiver from my bank. Another reason from her is she want my bank account and i think shes talking about my savings account? This is crazy!
Logically if they have transacted my refund to my account then they need to show there hard copy confirmation or email and should be forwarded to my email so i can show it to my bank so my bank can acknowledge there transaction and return my money back.
