We celebrated a 75th birthday in a hotel we have known of for years and have enjoyed its cuisine and meeting room but where we had not stayed before. The overall experience was wonderful and made us tourists in our own city!

We came up from Seattle for a "mini-moon" the weekend after our wedding, and couldn't have been happier. Service was above and beyond, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Room was clean, and the all of the amenities were top notch, down the soaps in the shower. When we return to Vancouver, this will be the first hotel we think...

I have been staying at the Wedgewood for at least 25 years now and had noticed on prior visits that the level of service was falling off. I am pleased to say that on this trip(April, 2017) I found a complete return to the Wedgewood of old. The staff were very cheerful and pleasant right from the start. The doorman...

The service was excellent, the food very good, the room was great - we were upgraded to the penthouse, but previous room in which have stayed were excellent too. The Wedgewood Suite is amazing; very comfortable. We used the balconies, as we always do! The amenities were first class. However I did forget toothpaste which was not included as an...

Great beds and a little balcony which was very nice, free water, cookies, excellent food in restaurant and great service. l'Occitane amenities. Totally downtown but no traffic sounds in the room. Id stay here again in a heartbeat.

This is a fine hotel in an excellent location. It is getting dated though and needs a refresh. We stayed on the third floor and the and the ambiance of the hallway is outright dingy. You know that subpar low level lighting you find in cheap hotel ways that saves money and hides imperfections. That is a pity and need...

We stayed here for our one year anniversary - we were surprised to be upgraded to the penthouse, which was absolutely stunning. Staff were amazing - friendly and funny! Definitely look forward to staying again.

This is an excellent, small downtown Vancouver hotel where the staff knows your name and even remembers your restaurant favorites. Rooms are well appointed; bathrooms are small, typical of older hotels; and some rooms have back-of-building views. Our room had an outdoor balcony with chairs and a table, but any view was sorely lacking. The hotel is a good downtown...

This is a lovely boutique hotel - service is exceptional and the rooms are beautifully done! There were so many sweet touches in the service (chocolates, cookies at night) - just wonderful and very friendly.

I was in town on business for the night and found the Wedgewood very comfortable, great service and a great location for my purposes. Just be sure to tell them if you are over 60 - they are too polite ask and there are a number of perks.

Staying in Granville Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.
