What a fantastic place to stay, the hotel is ideally placed for downtown and close to the harbour too. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The mini bar is a bit pricey but along the street there is a great market place store which sells everything. We were room only but the little shop in the lobby is great...

I booked two rooms at this hotel for a wedding. You would think with all the business we were giving this hotel, they would provide exceptional service. It turns out one of our rooms was given to another guest but still charged to us. We demanded a refund for the room but the manager coldly stated it was against hotel...

Stayed here in Summer 2014. The location is great near Robson square. Our room was clean and quiet. I especially want to thank you the receptionist for her great job at check in. Before our stay I called the reservation center to ask for a roll-away bed, the lady was not really friendly and told us that "they had no...

Stayed as a last minute booking, and were so pleased. The hotel was spotlessly clean, comfortable and all amenities were great. The highlight of the hotel was the panoramic views from the window, which took up the whole side of the room. Great position for all activities in the area, and would highly recommend...

Now I'm not being mean, but if you are a Forbes 2014 4* hotel there is an expectation you will deliver the goods. Alas it didn't feel this way here. Porters & door staff were excellent and very helpful. We were on a deluxe floor apparently but I fail to see what was deluxe about the room for $300 CAD...

We stayed here the first time we visited Vancouver. We had done a 14 hour drive from jasper via whistler and as we arrived at this hotel we were immediately greeted and our bags were unloaded, taken to our room and our car was parked for us. Staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make our...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
