Cedarwood Cove is a very special place. The cabin is exactly as described/pictured online. Well-equipped, comfortable and beautiful. Michelle, Alan and Koli are the epitome of hospitality. They really did go out of their way to make us feel welcomed and well-informed. They offer a range of outdoor equipment and services that we didn’t use, but just being there, sitting on the deck or the dock and taking in the amazing scenery and clean air was more than enough for us. We would definitely go back. Highly recommended.

Adorable house. Amazing location. Wonderful extras. We stayed here for an extended long weekend and it couldn’t have been better. We got up each morning to watch the sunrise in the backyard from the dock. Michelle and Alan think of everything to make you feel at home. From the welcome basket to the use of bikes to go get tacos, to the boards and wetsuits, everything we could have needed they provided. Highly recommend, but will you take me with you??

My wife and I stayed at Cedarwood Cove for our honeymoon! The hosts were attentive, inviting, helpful and made us feel at home. The space was very cozy, clean and comfortable. We felt relaxed right away. Alan & Michelle provided us with information on local hikes and restaurants. We had an amazing bike ride to a local beach using bikes that were supplied to us. It will be a trip that we will always remember. Thank you for providing us with such a breathtaking space on the water!

Wish I knew about this place sooner! Spent a weekend at Cedarwood with my wife and our dog this past February and can’t say enough good things about our experience. The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. The space, inside and out, was the perfect size, even with our Aussie. The hosts, Michelle and Al, were incredibly kind and helpful leading up to and throughout the whole trip. They always made sure we were comfortable and sent regular emails with local events or hot spots to visit (with an emphasis on dog friendly spots for our pup). There was a short power outage in all of Tofino at the tail end of our trip at which point Michelle and Al were even more over the top accommodating and had all the supplies we needed at the ready. 100% would recommend this spot :)

Upon walking into this gorgeous cabin, we were blown away by the incredible ocean view, the details in craftsmanship, the comforts that made it feel like home and the privacy of feeling tucked away into a private property. The hosts were welcoming and quick to reply yet out of sight the whole time - until we booked a paddle board tour with them :) The soothing hot tub, the quiet setting, the cozy mattress and so much more made this an unforgettable getaway. We cannot wait to return!

Stunning location. Fabulous space. Very clean, with amenities from bikes, water activity gear, hot tub, through to a kind supply of kitchen supplies (great coffee!!!) - only a short drive or a lovely cycle into town - all topped by amazing, kind hosts. A perfect spot to relax and unwind ( especially sitting on the decked pier at foot of the garden… see pics!)Five stars all around! I’d more than recommend checking in here!

We were made to feel so very welcome by Michelle and Alan. Their hospitality goes above and beyond. The cabin was just lovely with a big comfortable bed and even heated slates in the bathroom. The view was not only beautiful but vibrant as the tides came in and out. Spent 2 mornings in the hot tub in the chill and drizzle, heavenly... When it cleared up we were able to bike into town for a donut at Rhino... Highly Recommended.

After having stayed at Terrace Beach Resort in Ucluelet last year we were hopeful for a similar style of accommodation amongst another beautiful backdrop. The scenery didn't disappoint at Cedarwood Cove, however, the cabin itself was extremely small with very limited amenities. We booked using Airbnb and it was described as a cozy one bedroom cabin. However upon arrival we quickly realized it was smaller than a typical hotel room and was a studio style cabin with no bedroom. There was barely any room for a sitting area and having our dog with us further made the space even smaller. We paid over $230/night to stay here and felt that given the extremely small space and lacking cabin amenities we had over paid. We ended up spending the first night at this cabin and then after negotiating with the hosts/airbnb we left with a refund and returned to Terrace Beach Resort. We ended up spending less per night to have a oceanfront two level cabin with a large private hottub, large jacuzzi tub, flatscreen tv/DVD player, full kitchen, two bathrooms etc. The hosts were very nice and we were thankful they refunded part of our trip. The scenery was beautiful but we preferred being on the oceanside. I'm sure the other larger house they rent out would be wonderful but this tiny space was not for us at the expensive nightly rate we paid.

Response from CedarWoodCove, Owner at CedarWood Cove
Responded 24 Nov 2015
Thanks for the review Ashley, its important for us to keep improving Cedarwood Cove with guests feedback, and we really value that. Ucuelet is 100% cheaper in ALL accomodations offered, they are not the popular tourist destination, hence the difference in price. We offer guests a retreat experience, and find value in our waterfront location, hot tub, sauna and spa ammenties onsite aswell as recreational equipment including a private jetty for stand up paddling. We like to attract guests that are looking to be in the heart of Tofino, on the water, looking for a unique retreat getaway and not a TV/dvd and 2 bathrooms. We were very happy to refund Ashley who had booked as a first time airbnb user. We also offered Ashley a free massage and yoga therapy when her partner had said that Ashley was under distress. We are whole heartedly concerned for our guests when they stay with us, and want for the best experience possible for them. We are completely transparent in our description and photographs, and its sad that Ashley as a first time user to airbnb had different expectations from those details given.
