We added a night in tofino to our 4 week travel agenda and we instantly wished we had more time to stay longer - we stayed at house of himwitsa and honestly would not even contemplate staying anywhere else when we inevitably return to this charming seaside town. Richard and his staff had excellent communication and were going above and...

The best time to see Tofino is during the off peak months, and the best place to see it from is the Himwitsa Lodge. Big airy rooms with fantastic views across to Mears Island. Perfect retreat and the staff are close at hand to provide assistance and advice, I can also recommend the Hot Springs!

We stayed in Tofino for 2 nights in room 5 which was a great size, if a little tired. The beds were so comfortable and it was lovely to have 2 easy chairs as well. We booked this room for the hot tub and it was great!! After a days sightseeing and bear watching it was lovely to relax in...

Very clean and comfortable. Gorgeous fake (electric) fireplace! Lovely view and easy access to the best seafood ever - The Sea Shanty Restaurant - delish! My 9 and 10 year old kids loved the pasta whilst mum and dad indulged in the fresh, local seafood.

We stopped in this store few minutes before closing, we were very pleased that they kept it open for us, we bought a few things, the staff were great and helpful. Unique gifts, and lot of jewelry, magnet, and lots More.

So it's jolly expensive, but the rooms (well apartment 5, which is the one we stayed in) is done out really cheaply in terms of furniture, crockery etc., complete with huge stain on the carpet and a hard-to-find light in the hallway, which combined with the dark carpet means you can't see a thing. While the door onto the veranda...

Even though there are only five units, they are well appointed with full kitchens. Some are one room (think studios) or separate bedrooms and living area with pullout sofa. Small dining area with table and chairs. Only downfall is no air conditioning... however, most of the time it isn't needed. We were provided fans to help cool the area.

Arrived six days ago and unfortunately will be leaving tomorrow. What can I say that hasn't already been said? We love Tofino, our second visit and now having stayed at the Himwitsa Lodge wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. Our room was clean and spacious, with a beautiful view over the working small harbour across to the mountains beyond. The...
