This stunningly beautifully located hotel is a remote paradise set on the rugged coast of British Columbia. A unique combination of cold water surfing, giant pines and majestic coastline, the location is the attraction in itself. The Wikaninnish is the most plush place to stay and would please most every guest in so many ways, despite a few short comings....

My wife and I first learned about the Wickaninnish Inn on a segment of the Travel Channel by Samantha Brown many years ago. We put it on our list of places to visit, but it kept getting pushed down the list. Last year, I decided it would be the place for my wife and I to celebrate our 15th wedding...

This property is wonderfully located in Tofino at few steps away from the beach. All the staff is very welcoming and professional, special mention to their top concierge Yuvi. He took great care of us and organized our whale watching excursion and visit of Meares Island! Superb! We had the chance to meet Charles, the managing director, who is a...

We had three couples that booked a trip to the Wickinninnish. We live in Seattle and wanted to show our friends the best of the Pacific Northwest. One couple came from Australia, the other from Monaco. Both are well traveled and have been all over the world…we all actually met on a trip to Antarctica. EVERYONE was blown away by...

The location of the pointe rooms in this hotel is just about perfect and the rooms themselves are delightful. The reception and concierge staff are excellent. Those in the cafe and the managers of the restaurant are less good but these are small failings.

As most say, unbelievable beach, great room in the beach building overlooking the beach, wife and I enjoyed a couple bottles of wine with the fire going watching the surfers and the sunset, the two person tub with a view of the beach is awesome also, my only complaint is the lack of HD TV, if I'm at a 5...

Driving across Vancouver Island, we started to wonder whether the long trip over would be worthwhile since we were only staying at the Wickaninish for two nights. When we were about 25 kilometers away (so close!), we encountered horrible construction delays that added almost an hour to our already long trip. That said, upon arrival, we were transformed. The resort,...

unlike other places in town, at this place I couldn't get through reservations without hassle. No interest in the value of a customer, I went elsewhere and had a fabulous time. Came here for dinner... It was awful! When you can't understand even 1 item on the menu entirely, you know the food isn't going to be as good as...

Dear Mike Ludin, Thank you very much for your comments and feedback regarding the Wickaninnish Inn, although we were disappointed to learn that your experience with our Reservations Department fell short of your expectations. The Wick is perfect...rooms with great views, attentive service, good food (even the buffet meals for a business meeting were beyond expectations). All of this on one of the best beaches in the world. The expense to stay and eat here is worth every penny.

What a great hotel, right on the coast with views over the ocean. Spent 3 nights here while on honeymoon, the staff were great and accommodating, when they knew we were on honeymoon they made that extra effort in making it feel more special. Thank you!! Recommend this location to anyone visiting here.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Wickaninnish Inn, a Relais & Chateaux property since 1997, overlooks the Pacific Ocean from a rocky point on Vancouver Island’s rugged west coast, near the eclectic town of Tofino and Pacific Rim National Park. Two contemporary cedar buildings, set against a backdrop of ancient rainforest, boast an extensive local art collection (complemented by the neighbouring wood carving shed), and all rooms and suites offer ocean or beach views, gas fireplace, soaker tub and individual balcony. Uncompromising service, including a Clefs d’Or Concierge team, is a standard. The sole resort on Chesterman Beach, Tofino’s longest at 2.5km/1.5mi, the Inn is home to refined West Coast cuisine at The Pointe Restaurant and naturally-inspired treatments at its intimate Ancient Cedars Spa.
