We rented the bottom Suite from April 30 - May 3rd, we had a wonderful time! the house was very well appointed, had everything we needed. The location of this home is awesome! you can hang out at the Ocean Side Deck and watch the otters, sea lions and eagles play. We fished off the dock watched the animals had a nice fire and went in the hot tub. The internet was good and it is a very close walk to the local pub we went to Karaoke one night was a blast. We drove to the beaches which were literally minutes away. Kevin was an awesome host we even pulled up some crab traps at the dock and had a feast one night. Honestly Kevin the Host you can hardly tell is around we had an awesome time! We will be back!

We stayed on the middle floor for three nights in April. Loved the place, the space in the apartment, well equipped and comfortable. On our second day we ventured no further than the deck until late afternoon, the sun shone and the views were so stunning we didnt want to move! Would love to go back some day.

We were two senior couples, one from Canada and one from England, on a self-drive trip around Vancouver Island after a cruise. We were delighted with our very spacious suite: two bedrooms, one with a queen and ensuite with tub, the second with two queens, a very large, open plan kitchen / dining area seating six / lounge, and a second full bathroom with shower and tub. There were two wide balconies overlooking the sea, one with a barbecue, and the second with four comfortable Adirondack chairs and table. The kitchen was modern and well equipped. We spent our day time hiking the forests and beaches, whale watching and doing a bit of native art shopping in town, but returned to the balcony every afternoon to watch seals chase salmon in the bay out front. We enjoyed glorious sunny late-summer days, but if it had rained, the suite was very well equipped with both children's and adult board games, children's toys and a wide variety of books and magazines. The house is a short drive off the main road, but is quiet and secluded. The owner Kevin - a local fisherman - brought us fresh crab from his traps and taught us the best way to cook and eat them. In all, this was one of the most memorable experiences of our three-week West Coast adventure, and we all agreed that we would be very happy to come back.

Beautiful location with deck & hot tub overlooking the bay. But unfortunately the guest house was filthy. The kitchen needs new cook wear, dishes and utensils. There was burned food on everything and no cleaning supplies. The furniture needs to be replaced especially the beds. Very uncomfortable. The so called "third" bedroom is not a legal bedroom as it had no window. This place is not worth $300/night. Very disappointed.

We just got back from staying at Storm Bay and although the amenities were nice, the owner never once mentioned that he lives in this house on the top floor, something we really would have appreciated knowing beforehand. He also repeatedly felt the need to tell us that quiet time was at 11pm, which was displayed on the fridge door. The topper however was that he actually came into our suite when I was resting while the others were out at lunch in town. I confronted him about it later (once the others arrived home), which he denied, but I heard the door open and him walking around. It was very disconcerting and frightening. I wish I could recommend this house as a place to say, because the house itself is pretty nice, but there was really just too many negative experiences with the owner. There were 10 of us in total, and we all were extremely turned off this place.

I am certain there has been a misunderstanding.I have never entered a guest's suite at anytime in the ten years.I have operated my place unless they invited me in.I came to your door for payment and I spoke with a blonde woman she said you were taking a nap.Perhaps you did not relize she was also there in the suite while you were resting and the others were out.

There are 2 suites in this hotel, the Pebble Beach and the Halibut Suite. We rented the Pebble Beach Suite. On their website it mentions the Pebble Beach is on the main floor and it really should say the bottom floor. Main floor to me is the floor that you drive up to and then there's the basement or bottom and then the top floor. The Pebble Beach Suite, to me, is located in the basement as you have to walk down to get to it. It's fairly dark as the middle floor balcony overshadows any light that could come through those huge windows. It was nice to have easy access to the beach/yard and it kept the place cool in the hot summer months but I would have rather had the balcony because there were actual seats out there and not just an old picnic table sitting off to the side. There is a small bbq on the bottom patio but we didn't use it because it was dirty and grimy. Not very appetizing. There was burnt, dried on food on every single pot and pan in the place plus all the handles were falling off. I needed a new frying pan anyway so I bought one in town for our use there. They need to clean clean clean EVERYTHING!! Bathroom smelled very musty, uncomfortable furniture incl. couches and very hard beds. No one wanted the "3rd bedroom" because of no window. The owner was nice, however, to bring us fresh crab for dinner and we made good use of the hot tub. We were able to use the laundry facilities and he was good at controlling the partiers who rented the suite above ours. He really needs to update and clean the place for it to be really worth the money we paid. Won't be back. In Tofino make sure to spend 3 nights minimum because then the options open up vs. just the limited options being there only 2 nights gives you.

Stayed here back in 2013, John and Jeanette were very welcoming. We had no booking due to issue with another hotel and they took us in with no problems at all. The rooms were large and very clean, good bathroom facilities and the home made muffins for breakfast were wonderful. Views from the room were breath taking, we were treated to bald eagles hunting on the water just a few meters away. John also took us to the local brewery that had recently set up which was also of a very high standard. Overall I cannot recommend a stay highly enough, good price, beautiful surroundings and wonderful hosts.

The location of this home can't be beat. Convenient for anything you could possibly want to do! The house is very spacious and the big windows bring the outdoors in. We enjoyed watching the resident eagle fly by every day. So close! The feast of crab that Kevin provided was delicious and a real treat! Would not hesitate to recommend this place and we hope to return again!

We (six adults + one yr old baby) stayed @ Storm Bay Guest House from Sep 18th ~ 20th and had a fabulous time!

As described on website, rooms were very clean and spacious.
The host, Kevin, is very friendly and generous as he gave us huge craps.

Strongly recommend to family & friends.
