We really enjoyed our stay in the leaf pod! The interior is picked carefully and is very aesthetic; it is very quiet, and the cherry on top in the fantastic location and ocean view! We had a little trouble turning on the fireplace, and the owners responded extremely quickly and were very helpful. You can tell that they really care about their customers, sending detailed descriptions of what to expect and how to access, to make sure everything goes well and providing local tips and local coffee that were both much appreciated!
Our only little complaint would be that the washroom door was a bit jammed in two spots, making it hard to close at times.
Next time, we would probably pick another pod, as the leaf pod is closed to the entrance, making it less private, and you hear every car coming and leaving, but that is reflected in it being the cheapest pod, so I think that's fair!

P.S. the beds are sooooo comfy!

If you're looking for a natural, comfortable but majestic temporary home in a place that feels like 'Atlantis,' then look no further than Wildpod in Tofino, BC. My stay in the 'Wood' pod created an atmosphere that was fit for a Queen. Filled with luxury blankets, a very comfy bed and more electric creature comforts than I knew what to do with! There was an abundance of pillows and decorative throw pillows and even a dedicated basket for the throw pillows at night. Each morning, the sunrise gently awoke me from my slumber through the 5 meter wide window. Each night, we played Scrabble and were mesmerized by the night sky. The blackout curtains aided successfully in napping and helped insulate our pod during the one cold, rainy day.
The deck chairs were perfect for curling up on with a cup of hot coffee and the location was better than I could've expected with walking distance to anything you could possibly need.
Quiet time from 10pm to 8am was respected by all and the owners, Pete and Ashleigh were only a text message away anytime. They also provided great recommendations on places to visit which were all amazing experiences.

I loved this stay so much that some friends are now booked for August at Wildpod and I'll be coming back to enjoy 'Atlantis' once again with them!

Thank you so much for such great feedback and we love the Atlantis comparison :) And we are very happy you enjoyed the recommendations. Tofino really does have so much to offer from the amazing restaurants and ever evolving food scene, to the many activities and of course we can't forget the beaches. We can say that it is an awful lot of fun doing all of the 'research' needed in order to give recommendations!!! We very much look forward to welcoming you again. Best wishes Pete and Ashleigh

The booking process was easy to navigate through the website. All of the pods requires min two nights booking but there is one option to pick the one off availability on specific dates. I booked 1 night and the booking charges you half first and after almost 1 month of my initial booking the 2 payment was charged. The owners email me couple days prior arrival to give me clear instructions due to COVID. On the day of they will text you and share when the pod is available. After I checked in I didn’t want to leave the site. It is so pretty and comfortable. You can really relax and enjoy the view. Parking is available on site on gravel lot and is very quite in general. They have noise control guidelines to respect the other pods because you can hear them if they are outside. The little kitchenette has 2 sets of everything and you can truly enjoy the space and purpose of Glamping. The location is closed to supermarket. The day I was staying there was pouring really hard and the pods didn’t leaked. The heaters were very warm and clear welcoming printed materials were easy to follow. The bathroom is clean and sufficient for the space. It has Rhino grounded coffee and using all local business business. Is a very good collab with local business and it gave me the full tofino experience. Due to the highway construction early notification were shared with me via email and I could plan my trip accordingly. The bed and set up was so comfortable and I’m glad I had this first Glamping experience. The day I left was raining and there was rain coat in my pod that I could borrow. I really like the view and enjoyed my cup of coffee outside on the deck and sitting on the rest chair. Highly recommend to include this in your Vancouver island road trip. I flew in to Victoria and when to uceluelet before driving to tofino to enjoy this Glamping experience. Is a memorial trip especially during COVID

Staying at WildPod Tofino was nothing short of spectacular. We stayed in the Nest Pod, and the sunset views were incredible. The inside decor reflected that of a cozy nest, and the cute fairy lights were such a simple touch to add such a warm vibe to the pod. They provided the utensils/glasses needed (as well as yummy Rhino coffee), and the pod was perfectly heated during the time we were there. Check in/check out was made so easy by the WildPod team. It was a perfect getaway and will absolutely be staying at WildPod Tofino in the future. 10/10.

We stayed two nights in the "Nest" Pod witch is one of the two pods on the back side. The view still remains very nice with an outstanding sun rise for the early birds who want to enjoy the beautiful sky colours from their bed!
It was beautifully decorated, with a nice fireplace and the bathroom is well equipped with natural and handmade shampoo, shower gel and conditioner.
We were not checked-in due to Covid-19 but we have found a couple explanation paper inside the pod with recommendations of the area facilities.

HOWEVER, the pods are not soundproof at all. We got lucky on the first night to have very respectful neighbours. The second night was another story : We heard our neightbours talking and laughing loudly until 2 am, and even more when they decided to get to bed... and this in spite of the noise restriction after 10pm. This was very unfortunate especially for the price we paid. The pods are too close from each other which doesn't leave any privacy in terms of noise insulation.

I regret the lack of vegetation outside as per the name "wildpod" I was expecting a bit more than just being on a car park with some sawdust on the floor... On the other hand, the place is well perimeter-ed and we felt very safe.

The chairs outside were fixed to the floor, impossible to move them when it get cold under the shadow in the end of the afternoon.

To summarize: Beautiful place but not as peaceful as promised in the night! I would recommend this place but would fairly rate it as a 3.5 stars.

Response from Ashleigh Clarke, Owner at Wildpod Glamping
Responded 15 July 2020
Hi and thank you for your feedback and review. As you can see by the other reviews here your experience with noise was certainly not the norm and we are sorry that you had an issue. While the pods are not 100% soundproofed (impossible to do with what is after all a tent), they do offer enough sound protection to enjoy a peaceful experience for all when guests act respectfully. All of our guests are told in multiple locations that if there are any issues with noise at any stage (regardless of the hour) then they should inform us immediately and we will act and shut the noise down. It's part of our guests agreement with us that noise is kept to a minimum (especially in quiet hours) and we will remove them from the site if they cannot abide by the rules. Despite being given this information we did not receive any calls from you about the noise issue you were having, in fact we were totally unaware of it until you decided to post about it here. We sincerely wish that you had told us about it at the time of the problem (as requested in your check in instructions) so that we could have nipped it in the bud and you would not have been disturbed. We cannot guarantee quiet outside of your pod, but what we can guarantee is that if other guests are disturbing you then as long as you tell us about it we will resolve it. Tofino suffers a lot of storms, therefore the chairs on the deck have to be secured otherwise they are likely to end up in the ocean or will come crashing into the pod in a storm! We are sorry that this meant they were in shadow although you could have taken your inside chairs out onto the deck if needed to enjoy the sun on a different part of your deck. WILDPOD states very clearly our location and surroundings on our website. As can be seen by our reviews and feedback almost all of our guests value just how close to town we are, that they can walk to all the local restaurants or take a bike ride to the beach directly from WILDPOD. There are many glamping locations in Canada and around the world that offer remote wilderness glamping, WILDPOD is not one of those and we feel that would be apparent to anyone spending time looking at our website and what we offer. We do, however, have many guests who have seen whales from their deck, their pods and even from bed. Eagles constantly fly by. If you spend some time sitting outside you have a very good chance of seeing a family of sea otters playing nearby, or sea birds hunting. You will also see float planes take off from the harbor, kayakers go past and excited groups out on whale watching tours. And of course you get to look at the stunning scenery. We think it's pretty wild being able to see a whale from bed. Our location is stunning and we have landscaped our little corner of the world to fit in with the natural surroundings and we think we have achieved that beautifully. To describe it as being 'just being on a car park with some sawdust on the floor" is hardly a fair description (there's no sawdust anywhere onsite). We have kept it simple so as to create a space that belongs within the space and natural beauty we have here. We are very happy that you found the pod beautifully decorated and well equipped. and enjoyed the stunning view of the sun rise. We are very sorry that you chose not to inform us of the issue you were having with another guest at the time you were having it as you would have seen how quickly, politely and effectively we could have remedied this issue for you. While you describe your experience on the first night as 'lucky' we would state that was just actually how it normally is and you were unlucky on your second night (but the situation would not have stayed that way if we were informed). If you were ever to come back to WILDPOD we would love to talk to you in person to ensure you can see just how approachable we are, as this is a family business that we live and breathe each day. Nothing is too much trouble for us if you let us know. We would love to explain in person that we are always available to help any time of the day or night if you would only talk to us. We pride ourselves on our excellent service and ensuring that our guests have a memorable stay in the heart of the most incredible and magical place that is Tofino. To summarize: Thanks for the feedback as we always value it. We would rate your review as 'slighty unfair' (given that you didn't contact us about the issue you were having), so we would give it a 3.5 star rating :) Best wishes Pete and Ashleigh

We booked through Wildpod for an early Valentines Day getaway, and we were absolutely blown away the moment we stepped into the Leaf Pod. Beautifully decorated, lots of space, and very functionally designed, Wildpod was the highlight of our trip to Tofino. Even in a February rainstorm, the Pod stayed warm and cozy thanks to the fireplace. The location is perfect, since you're only a few minutes' walk from the town centre, yet it feels quite private. Hosts were super responsive and provided a lot of great recommendations, and the check-in/check out process went very smoothly. Definitely worth booking, especially in the off-season.

It was a unique and excellent experience. We were there for 2 nights. the location is perfect, oceanfront !!!! walking to restaurants, only 10-15 mins drive to beaches. We stayed in NEST pod, the view is amazing. The pod is spacious, big comfy bed, very very clean bathroom (small like bathrooms in cruise ships).
Owner Pete gave very clear instruction on how to get inside the gate, there were also instruction on how to adjust the lights, fans. We are very pleased how clean the pod is, wifi is strong, we watched netflix, stayed on the deck and enjoyed the view.

The only recommendation/ suggestion would to have a full length mirror. LOL

overall, very good stay.

Thank you for taking the time to share this, it is very much appreciated. The view really is amazing, and it really seems to change every single day. No two sunsets or sunrises are ever the same and we are so happy that our guests can experience this. We will definitely take on board your suggestion for a full length mirror and will see if we can find a suitable location. Best wishes Pete and Ashleigh

Wow! That's exactly how we felt entering the Rock Pod for the first time. We were amazed by the space that had absolutely everything one could possibly need: a comfortable bed, a table for two, a full bathroom with a shower and all toiletries you need, a kitchenette fully loaded with dishes, glasses, cutlery and more, a fireplace. Moreover, the little things had attracted our eyes. It's so thoughtful of you! The basket for extra pillows to put away is a great idea to keep them organized. We were pleasantly surprised to find a tray for the dirty shoes under the bench. This is totally our style as we are very particular about keeping our home clean too. Finally, the two chairs on the deck was our delight. We spent our evenings there enjoying our refreshments and waiting for the fabulous sunset.
The view is a breathtaking! Who needs a DVD or CD player when you can hear birds chirping around and sea otters whistling to each other?!
By the way, location is great, walking distance to the restaurants and docks if you are planing a trip on the boat. At first, we thought the window would be great, but the fans and open door made breezy enough.
Thank you for creating a peaceful, safe, and comfortable place to stay, rest, and enjoy whatever Tofino offers to it's visitors. One will never forget the place and will definitely be thinking of coming back.

I had the most rejuvenating experience at WILDPOD with my boyfriend in the "Sand" pod. Firstly, the pod is so well thought out and intelligently designed. The furnishings are ultra-modern and bring the name of the pod to life, with fur throws, woven pillows, and beachy fixtures. The front of the pod faces the Pacific and all of the incoming action, from the ever-changing weather, swooping eagles and marine mammals that come by for a curious visit. I particularly loved WILDPOD's sustainability efforts to eradicate all plastics in the accommodation, with refillable amenity dispensers, naked soap bars, and all-natural towels and linens. I couldn't recommend WILDPOD more, everyone should have the experience of staying in a pod, at the end of the road, at the edge of the sea!

WildPods is incredible. The pods are perfectly situated in the heart of town, you can easily walk to a number of restaurants, coffee shops and the grocery store. The water is literally at your fingertips. The pod is super comfortable, cozy and isn’t lacking any amenities. Little touches like local coffee is provided along with a French press, they even put milk in the fridge. Locally made soap in the bathroom and a big blanket to sit outside in the evening.
The sunset view is possibly the best in town.
It’s truly a magical place and we will look forward to visiting again.
