Yes this building is older and needs some TLC, which is what the current owners are working on. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the view from our balcony was beautiful. We loved the old cement walls so we didn't have to worry about noise from others. And the price was nice!

The phones don't work (front desk says to use your cell); there's no air conditioning except to open a sliding door with no screen. The bathroom sink and tub were chipped and rusty; there were 2 teeny towels with which to dry your bod; the hallway looks like death row! Can it get worse? Yup. The price was NOT in...

Room was basically OK but there was some kind of spill on the floor |(looked like animal barf) No dish towles or dish clothes The coffee machine had crystalized coffee all around the burner. No phone in the room so you can't call the front desk. The guy at the front desk said they are renovating but still has all...

There is a reason this hotel has no reviews from 2013 til now - no one stays here. In some ways this seems like a normal, run-down, older motel that would be cheap, but once you get into it, you realize it is not what it seems. We ended up here when I mistakenly booked another place for the wrong...

This was the dirtiest and the oldest hotel I have ever seen!!! The clerk processed the payment for the room before we had a chance to see it. We get to the room and it is so outdated it was horrible. The beds were hard as a rock and we found dirt, dust and hairs everywhere. The packets of coffee...

Avoid this place at all costs. It is terrifying, dark, filthy, it smells bad and is in a deserted location. There is no staff on site in the evenings; you are given a key to the entire place and left to fend for yourself. Especially dangerous for women. The hotel from the Shining is luxurious by comparison. Was in Nanaimo...

Don't be deceived by the name - as best this is a $40 motel. From the moment we arrived, everything was bad - hotel is not always open during the day, room was dirty, oven didn't work, air conditioning didn't work, key didn't work, had bar fridge instead of full size fridge. I truly believe this place is an organized...

What a horrible place - and smelly and skanky - booked through Expedia - will never use them again - stayed all of 20 mins - long enough to find out this place sucked - no air conditioning, stained rugs, broken plastic chairs, 2 headed bugs in bathtub - yuck - We left after complaining to expedia and hotel manager...

Lobby was freezing cold. Desk Agent had space heaters set up around her to keep her warm. Our room was freezing cold and the bathroom was a disgusting, dirty, moldy room with an unusable shower. We were told that after 9pm if we needed anything we needed to dial 0 and talk to onsite management. All that happened when we...

Don't ever stay at this hotel. They rip you off huge.. we were told we were not being charged for a terrible night's stay with no air conditioning, smelly room, old and deteriorating.. I was sickened by this place. Then the charges on my credit card stayed, $140 for a horrifying experience, I asked them to reverse this and they...
