If one comes to Duncan - which is definitely worth a visit - for the totem poles, Cowitchan First Nations cultural center or the nearby lakes and forests, Thunderbird Inn makes perfect sense unless you want a room that is inviting and not just functional. Excellent reception (thank you Rita), good bed, plentiful hot water, adequate sized room lacking any...

Our group of cyclists (30 people) spent 4 nights at the Thunderbird last week. I had stayed there before (based on previous Tripadvisor reviews) and was pleased with my stay then and I knew what to expect. Our group was happy with their stay for the reasons mentioned by other reviewers (friendly/helpful staff, clean and spacious rooms, location close to...

The motel is a bit dated, but the rooms are clean and well cared for. There was a small fridge and stove top with sink in our unit, so you could make a light...

We were very pleasantly surprised with the Thunderbird Motor Inn. Great value for such reasonably priced accommodation! We were graciously welcomed by the staff, and our room was exceptionally clean (including the carpets) and quiet. The property is easy to locate, is close to the main road and major amenities. The owners, Martin and Maureen, are very hands-on, and this...

We spent one night in Duncan at the Thunderbird Motor Inn. We stayed on the first floor. The room had laminate flooring and was very clean. We forgot our drinks in the fridge the next day and they called right away. We were only a few miles down the road so turned back to retrieve our items. The staff is...

Great room at a reasonable price. A discount for phoning direct. Friendly owner. The onsite restaurant was very good. The manager came immediately when the air conditioner wasn't turning on. Outside entrances for easy access.
