This was a very comfortable, peaceful B & B in the Cowican Valley, BC. The Hostess was personable and welcoming. She accommodated us with an early check-in without any displeasure. The house is an 1880's Victorian which has been tastefully preserved. Our room was very comfortable with a queen bed and spacious ensuite. A very comfortable stay. Delicious pancakes and...

My family and I stayed at this wonderful B&B for one night while attending a wedding over the weekend, and had a very nice stay. Our room was large and had an adjoining room with a single bed which was perfect for our preschool aged daughter who loved "her room". Cassandra was very kind and accommodating and made us a...

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. It is really appreciated. And thank you for mentioning the potential issues for someone with mobility concerns. We do clearly indicate on our website that as this house was built in 1881, there is no way to make it handy-capped accessible. However, it has happened that a guest...

This is a beautiful old house - the oldest in the Duncan area, that has been converted to a B&B. Cassandra, the proprietor, keeps it in tiptop shape. She was always helpful and friendly. Like most old houses, there are some oddities. The door handle on our en suite bathroom was mounted so low we had to stoop to reach...

My traveling companion and I stayed at Holmesdale House for several days in early fall. What a great, comfortable experience. Cassandra was a wonderful hostess, and the full hot breakfasts were divine. We have stayed in two other B&B establishments in BC, and Holmesdale House was by far the best. As avid Geocachers, we were in geo-heaven as well with...

We had three nights at Holmesdale House following a family wedding in August further North up the Island. Cassandra was very welcoming and suggested some lovely driving routes to beautiful places and interesting visits in the Cowichan area, which is a gorgeous place to explore and relax in. She is also a fantastic cook - the breakfasts really were gourmet....

Stayed there for 2 nights in August. The room was comfy and big, the food was great and our host was helpful and sweet. It was in a good location - 15 minute drive from tons of wineries and Cowichan Bay. I'd recommend Averill Creek and Blue Grouse wineries. Also, take the time to go to Genoa Bay Cafe for...

Holmesdale House Bed & Breakfast is a quaint historic house tucked behind hedges and greenery providing the feel of being alone in the country while quite close to the great little shopping area of Duncan.
