No air-conditioning which is a problem in the hot summer and couldn't open the windows because no screens and mosquitoes were bad Food was wonderful however and the host was delightful! The rooms were tiny and most rooms have no bathrooms except for a public one Very clean

Wonderful rooms with NEW bathrooms and great breakfast included. The rooms are clean, with wifi but no cell connections. A quiet place to get away for the older crowd who like silverware and in house made jam.

We stayed at the hotel, room 1, recently. Keep in mind this is a very old and unique hotel - the rooms are small and en-suite also tiny. It is not suitable for those unable to climb steep stairs. But it was comfortable. It was great fun to sit on the balcony overlooking the main street and watch the activity....

Our daughter, son-in-law, and we stayed here for one night and wished we had booked two. The accommodations were superb, the breakfast outstanding, and the atmosphere very friendly. The bonus: the bathroom was spotless! I hope to return with our other daughter next year to stay two nights and visit Barkerville town for three days. To see it all, one...

Located in Barkerville a restored gold mining town this hotel provides comfortable accommodation in traditional styled rooms with modern facilities. Breakfasts are included and delicious. The communal lounge provides a great social atmosphere.

This tiny little building is a survivor from the gold rush in BC in the 1860/70's. With modernization to meet fire codes, install bathrooms and electricity, it is still decorated with period furniture and a hostess dressed in costume. Our room (#4) was absolutely tiny as advertised but had all the important items for an overnight stay, except for sound-proofing...

We stayed here for one night in early July, and found it to be an experience. We had the only twin bedded room in the hotel, with a shared bathroom just across the hallway. Luckily, we had the bathroom to ourselves during our stay. Our room, while small, was immaculately clean, as was the bathroom. The included breakfast the following...

Our host Saya, was warm and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and right on the main street, close to the action in Barkerville. Our breakfast companions were friendly and Saya cooked the best breakfasts. We can't wait to go back! Thanks so much for the experience Saya.

I was surprised to learn that you could stay overnight in Barkerville, but when I found out I booked a night at the St. George. Mostly because it had a balcony overlooking the main street and that sounded like fun. It did not disappoint. I spent the late afternoon and early evening up there watching as the town actors went...

We had no real idea what to expect but we're delighted to have a very warm welcome by Saya, the proprietor of this lovely establishment. The town of Barkerville was way off our track but well worth the journey. It is at the end of the gold-mining trail and is a real Wild West style town dating back to the...
