We just returned from 5 wonderful days at Thuya Lakes Lodge. We had such a fantastic time! I have read all the other reviews and if you are not into a nice relaxing outdoor adventure in a totally rustic environment then no this is not the place for you. Neil and Haley were absolute excellent hosts and we truly enjoyed...

We also just spent 4 marvelous days at Thuya Lakes Lodge, an easy 6 -7 hour drive from either Seattle or Vancouver, B.C. Our time was spent in a very private, pristine, natural setting allowing us to observe the solitude of nature. The fishing was excellent for fish ranging from 10" to 2+ lbs, a frisky Kamloops strain of trout--delicious!!...

Just returned from 4 wonderful days at Thuya Lakes Lodge. We had a fantastic time we had. Contrary to what I read in one of the other reviews (which was total nonsense) the drive to the lodge is easy and convenient and can be easily done with a regular vehicle (we drove a van). The lodge setting is great, remote...

A complete package for anyone looking for a great experience - whether as a family, or a guys weekend away fishing on a lake a day, all by yourself. Great cabins, fully fitted with skylights to make bright and cheery, and Neil is an amazing host, with all his knowledge and stories, this place makes for a lifetime memory. Thanks...

If you have ever had aspirations of fly fishing from a float tube, this may be the trip you are looking for. 3 years ago i joined some work colleagues and customers (good friends) for a 5 day trip to Thuya. I was completely taken back by the lodge and its surroundings. It was nothing short of beautiful, with our...

My father first took me to Thuya lakes in the 70's and we went back many times up to the mid 80's. I have a family of my own now and I thought Thuya would be a fun thing to pass on to my kids. As the date of the trip drew closer I began getting that doubt when you...

The drive to the lodge along Eakin Creek Road was simple following the directions on the website. The first 20 km is a good gravel road but the last 0.5 km is a bit rutty. Still, we had no problems negotiating the road in a little Yaris and a minivan (Odyssey). The cabins are clean and well-equipped. The view from...

We found Thuya Lakes on the Internet and discovered if you are looking for a rustic/wilderness location with great fishing it is worth a visit. Dawn and Neil are great hosts and go out of their way to make your stay stress free and enjoyable. The electricity (available only in the morning and evening - until 10 p.m.) was more...

We found Thuya Lakes on the internet and drove a full day to get there. The road in was what you would expect going into a fishing area and our low-clearance van had no problem getting into the cabins. We had everything a person would need to have a no stress, no phones, peaceful fishing adventure. We loaded up on...

Our Thuya trip this year was just excellent! (As usual). We had a large group of 10 friends this year, with 2 fellows that had very little fly fishing experience before. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with smiles and a frosty beverage by Neil and his daughter and were given our directions to our cabins. The cozy accommodations are...

“Hillbilly is the only cabin with a bathroom/shower. All other cabins share the shower hut. This is not a big deal, as the shower hut (building, really) is kept very clean, and the resort is so small, sharing the facilities is not an issue.”
