Forest Park Hotel's service garners mixed opinions, with guests experiencing both warm hospitality and occasional lapses in attention. While the atmosphere is commended for its modern rooms and inviting common areas, some aspects are deemed outdated and noisy. The amenities, including clean rooms with kitchenettes, are appreciated, yet the pool and gym fall short of expectations. Value is a contentious point, as many guests criticize the high prices and additional fees. Room experiences vary, with the newer wing receiving praise, in contrast to the older sections that are considered dated and less well-kept. Cleanliness is generally upheld, although some inconsistencies are reported. The hotel's location is recognized for its convenience, though it is not in the heart of downtown.

We stayed on the older side (due to room selection) and were surprised on the updates needed in the bathroom, the balcony, carpets and light fixtures for the price we paid to stay here. The pool also closes at 9pm which we wished would have been open longer. Also breakfast was not included for us. This place was the third most expensive hotel in Jasper for rates when we booked. It definitely needs to be nicer for charging what they did.

Hello MBcacati0ns, Thank you for your recent visit to Forets Park Hotel in Jasper. I sincerely apologize if we missed the mark on your stay and you found the hotel in need of updates. Our main Woodland building will undergo major renovations in the coming years to enhance our guest's experience. Unfortunately, a complimentary plated breakfast for Albertans is available at certain time of the season for direct bookings only. Thank you again for choosing our hotel as your place to unwind and we appreciate your feedback. Warm regards, Pavel Myska Guest Services Manager

The bathroom overhead lighting for the purpose of make-up application and shaving, etc. was atrocious. Lighting should be installed above the mirror at least. The pull out magnification mirror should be a lighted model with excellent magnification.

I believe that having a night stand on only one side of the bed treats only one of the couple in the room fairly. I would have enjoyed being able to put my cell phone or reading material on a night stand as well.

The linens and towel harsh and stiff.
The kitchenette had only one large, dull knife.

The Handicapped Parking stalls location for the Alpine renovated section are very far from the entrance to the Lobby, walking from the Handicapped Parking stall to the Lobby to retrieve a luggage trolley, pushing it back to the vehicle, loading it up with a fair amount of luggage and back to the Lobby was a very physical endeavor especially on such a cold, windy, winter day.

On the good side, the accommodations and the hotel was very clean.
This was a substitution of a Wedding venue due to forest fire damage caused to the original venue.
On my next trip I would want my accommodations to be in the main part of the Hotel because of our Handicapped condition.

Ive stayed at this hotel before, Its usually my preference when im in jasper. Although i would come back to stay, they should address some things with the room. It was musty, the room smelled like unwashed ski equipment. Also the door which goes to the adjacent room had a lock that didnt line up with the door jam so it wouldnt lock. The maintenance person said he has advised the manager on this issue once before and they didnt seem to care. To me this is something that needs to be addressed as well as steam cleaning the carpets to get rid of that un inviting used equipment smell. Also the breakfast buffet was good but if you want a better deal book through the hotel directly and you will get a 2 person voucher for $22 instead or paying $22 each. I didnt know this so i ended up paying full price.

This hotel is lovely. The vibe is really interesting, the staff are friendly, the food is great, and the rooms are nice and clean. The kitchenette was well-stocked for cooking. The fireplace in the middle of the hotel with the comfy seating is a bonus. Would definitely stay again.

Very disappointed in the amenities, which was the reason that I chose this hotel in the first place. I even called to confirm that they had amenities before I booked. We were so disappointed that we ended up moving hotels the last night to one that was cheaper and much better.
The gym was poorly laid out and did not fit more than two people comfortably. They did not have logical sized kettle bells or bars. The pool and hot tub were dirty and the tiles looked disgusting surrounding the area. The steam room was so cold, it actually chilled us. We were told there was a sauna but there was not. We had a kitchen suite but did not have dish soap or a sponge so the only was the clean the dishes was to wait for this dishwashing drawer to finish running. The wifi did not work well and did not allow for us to connect our chromecast. While these are not that important, for the price of the hotel, I would expect the little extras. No robes or slippers and much smaller, scratchier towels than the cheaper hotel we switched to on the last night of our stay. This hotel is fine, just not worth the price compared to others around it.

The Whiskey Wine and Hops event brought us to Jasper for this trip. Stayed the new part of Forest Park Hotel. The rooms are very functional, comfortable and contemporary, large bathrooms with a walk in shower. We stayed in a kitchenette room which was well appointed including a small dishwasher. Nice views of the mountains and not too far to walk to restaurants and shopping. They acknowledged a birthday which made the stay more special, thank you! All the staff was professional, happy and helpful, will return.

During a tour through Canada, this was the only hotel on the trip that was very disappointing. It is without a doubt the worst hotel we have stayed in in the past 20 years. In this illustrious hotel you can have breakfast and dinner while inhaling chlorine fumes!? The breakfast/dining room is in the same large room as the swimming pool and whirlpool.
The rooms are spacious with a double queen-size bed. The bathroom is very small, without a separate toilet and with a shower/bath combination. All sanitary facilities are dated and malfunctioning.
The rooms are very noisy and have an ancient, noisy air conditioner. Sleeping without earplugs is only possible if you find quiet neighbors.

Nice room, good location. However, fell short with cleanliness and zero response to complaint called in. So dont expect them to clean room or provide clean sheets/pillow cases during a stay, dont expect them to respond or correct or makeup for an issue.

Based on the many negative reviews (and my experience in two previous hotels on this vacation to the Canadian Rockies) I didn’t expect much. I was very pleasantly surprised! Granted, I spent a little extra to be roomed in the new Alpine Rooms. But the overall experience was much better than expected. The location is at the end of town however it is not isolated and it is not a big deal to either walk or drive to the center. Check in was fine. The overall first impression of the lobby is good….the hotel is in good repair and has a good “local” feel. It looks clean and appropriately outdoorsy!
Our king size room with kitchenette is good sized, very clean, well appointed and has a great modern bathroom.
Because of the complaints in other reviews, I looked at the rooms in the old section. They actually looked pretty good….not nearly as as outdated and drab as I expected. The biggest drawback is that they overlook the interior lobby/pool. My only complaint is that the breakfast is only fair and the room towels feel like sandpaper! I had almost no interaction with the staff so no comments on service.
In sum, I think this hotel is much better than its rating. If you book in the Alpine section, you will be very satisfied.

Very nice new rooms, kitchen suite only issues were the sliding barn door style for washroom is not so sound proof.
The kitchen area is extremely small, the washroom sink was bigger but the dishwasher was a nice touch and very quiet.

The gym needed serious attention but they had a company called FitFix in doing work which they were extremely thorough on. Very impressive!
So they’re being proactive in getting it ship shape.

Food pricing, no gouging but is common throughout town. Very disappointing to see when every meal for a fam of 4 is over $150.

I’d certainly stay here again tho!!

Dear Sherpa62715, Thank you for your message. We have a laundry area available to our guests at our hotel itself. However, there is only one wash machine and one dryer. Washing detergent is also available free of charge in our laundry area. There is a couple of public laundry facilities in Jasper town, just 5 minutes driving distance from our hotel should you need one. Kind Regards, Pavel Myska Guest Services Manager
