Very clean room, but no staff, no check in/out personnel. There are only about 4-5 rooms up a steep flight of stairs above a restaurant. You receive an email with an entrance code that gets you through the main door and your room keys are in your assigned room. You simply leave them in a basket in the hall when you leave.

Great location with many restaurants and coffee shops nearby.

Filia Inn is a great find and a nice change from a hotel room.

Our room # 1 was a corner room with large windows overlooking the mountains surrounding Jasper. The suite has a separate bedroom and living area with lots of space to get comfie in. We found everything we needed, including microwave, bar fridge, hair dryer, coffee maker. There is a large deck off the back with a great view, tables and chairs, and a BBQ. There is a fairly steep staircase up to the rooms on the second floor.

The location is just off the main Street, with an excellent bakery next door offering delicious breakfast choices. There are parking spaces available just beside the building, but also a large public parking lot with free overnight parking.

We didn't meet Matt, but he communicated details on access, and we appreciated the suggestions of places to eat and things to do.

Filia Inn is a great find, and we look forward to returning.

We stayed for one night and it was lovely. While the room was quite small, we knew this coming into it and only needed it for a place to sleep. The host, Matt, was very friendly and knowledgable on the area and provided us with a list of things to check out and do. Clean, comfortable, and affordable for the area - would stay again!

When I travel, a clean room is more important than luxury. The Filia was just perfect. It was furnished with home style furniture and had fridge coffee maker, microwave etc. We enjoyed our time on their upstairs patio with an amazing view. We booked the two bedroom with a nice view. It was a little bit smaller than I expected but it didn't bother us in the least. It is situated right down town. We appreciated getting a discount at the restaurant below which was our best meal of our whole trip. The checking was easy and the host Matt was very helpful. I highly recommend this place. A+

We were unfortunate to be in Jasper when the nearby wild fire caused the power to go out. However, we were incredibly fortunate to be at the Filia Hotel with Matt the owner who was incredible. He kept us informed as the situation developed, offered to cook for us as the restaurants closed and even lent us some money as the ATMs and card readers were all down. He really went the extra mile to help and was a fantastic example of customer service. He also offered us advice on hikes, restaurants in the area and also in Whistler which he knew well. All his advice was accurate and really helpful. The hotel itself is comfortable and well located. It’s right next to the Bear Claw cafe which is handy if you want to join the line starting at 8:00 am!

We had a great stay at Filia Inn. It's a simple, cute little room, but everything we needed for our one night stopover in Jasper. It's in a convenient location for shops and restaurants, it was clean, and quiet, even though the rail yard is right across the street. A special touch was the list of activities and restaurants and such - it gave us an idea of how the locals live! It also has a rooftop deck, which we weren't able to enjoy because our stay was too short. Would recommend.

Our first time staying at Filia Inn and not the last. .. Our room faced east, so lovely morning light with a great view of Pyramid mountain.
Rooms and bathroom were clean, but quite basic, just fine for us, and we managed the stairs no problem!
Perfect location for all the wonderful restaurants too.

First time staying here at the Filia Inn. A couples winter get-away for 5 days; which was a first in Jasper without the family in tow. Very nice rooms; clean, new fixtures, and an amazing view from our two room suite. Booking on line was easy and the hotel staff responded quickly to our enquiries. Downstairs was a fabulous restaurant and lounge; The Olive Bistro & Lounge (Will write more in that review). We were amazed how even though our room was directly above the restaurant and pub, we did not hear one sound from below even on the very busy weekends!

We spent most of our time outdoors snowshoeing, x-country skiing, and hiking; so didn't spend a lot of time in the room. The 2-bedroom suite is set up more like two bedrooms with a common bathroom; great for a family but maybe lacking a little privacy for two couples. The inn rooms are on the second floor of the building with access by stairs only (28 of them to be exact); so if you have some mobility issues this would probably not be a good fit for you.

The inn itself is located right on the edge of the downtown core of Jasper. So everything you could want is within very easy walking distance; restaurants, pubs, shopping, grocery stores. Aside from the Olive Bistro & Lounge; the Ded Dog Pub and Papa George's Restaurant are two of our favourites just around the corner! Also right next door is the famous Bear Paw's Bakery; the perfect breakfast spot (but insanely busy on weekends when the ski crowd is in town)!

Overall; we thought the Filia Inn was a fantastic value and would highly recommend it to our friends. Will definitely be our home-away-from-home in Jasper in the future!

Booked over phone and was to receive confirmation via email. Never receieved so I called closer to our arrival. I also wanted to confirm there was an air conditioner in the room as the temperatures were to be hot. I was assured by owner that the reservation was good and absolutely there was an air conditioner. Imagine our surprise when there was no air conditioner in the room. We had no idea of who to ask as there is no phone in the room either. Noisy guests. Not a pleasant stay. When i got home and emailed the owner, it took two emails for her to reply. It took me to put a negative comment on the webpage for her to email me. No resolution. I only want to warn people what is said on the website, is not true.

We stayed 3 nights in a standard room and 2 nights in a premium room. Nice location on the east end of the shop & restaurant district right next door to the Bear Paw Bakery (yum, good for pastry, bread, sandwiches and eat in breakfast of lunch), also, restaurant and convenience store right next door. A bit tedious walking up the 28 steps to the second floor rooms after our daily hikes. Public computer, good Wi-Fi, microwave, coffee maker and small frig (unfortunately, frig did not work in premium room). Home-like furnishings & comfy beds.
Standard room over the alley had some noise due to AC units in the opposite building. Parking in alley and free public parking across street. Friendly management. Somewhat pricey, but that’s Jasper!

There is only a few parking spots specifically for the Filia Inn sort of behind/beside the building, between it and the bakery next door. There is street parking directly out front, but I believe it may be a 2 hour limit during the day. There is a public parking lot just across the street however.

I believe they are pet free but I'd contact the Inn directly to be 100% sure. Wonderful place, great location, good choice!!
