Stayed for 3 nights with our family in July 2021. We loved the location bit away from the Jasper crowds but this is what we wanted. On the river and did some great hikes from our room. The cabin was good bit simple but good. The furniture was a bit dated but still all passable. The night air was cool enough so did not need AC and also had a fan in the room but did not need it. The location of the Tv was not very good as it is facing the kitchen area instead of the living room which we ma it work. Was able to park in front o our door which was very handy. My only complaint which is minor is they do not provide any knives except butter knives hard to cut meat or a piece of bread with a butter knife and they only provide vey small drinking glasses. When I checked out they stated if I came to the front desk they might have been able to accommodate me but maybe so but they should just provide these items.
The staff at the front desk were all very nice and friendly. They do not provide any cleaning or service each day. They said do to COVID but travelled for 3 weeks and every other place did provide service but not a big deal.

The only reason I did not give them 4 out of 5 is the price to the accommodations I felt did not match. At $400 per night thought would be a bit higher end. And more service. A nice cabin in a great location with friendly staff.

We had a wonderful stay in the Riverside Family Suite. The location is lovely and the red Adirondack chairs are perfect for morning coffee circle & afternoon happy hour 🙂 Unfortunately rainy/windy weather during our stay, but we were very comfy in the cabin. The kitchen has been recently renovated. It was a perfect place for a little getaway.
Although the kitchen had mostly everything you would need, a salad bowl and some wine glasses (unbreakable) would be a nice option.
The staff we interacted with were great and they have great protocols in place for the current Covid restrictions. Thank you. We will be back.

Thank you loraliee for taking the time to write a review regarding your stay with us. We are sorry that the weather did not cooperate with you while you were in Jasper but we are glad you found the Riverside Family Suite a comfy place to wait it out. We will look into adding unbreakable wine glasses and salad bowls in the suites. Thank you for your input. We do have some additional items available at the front desk such as strainers, silverware, dishes, glasses and mugs, cutting knives and pots and pans. If there is something that you require please feel free to check with us at the desk. If we have what you are looking for available you are welcome to bring it to your suite. We hope to welcome you back this next season. Stay safe.

We have been coming here with our children since 2010. We love the location on the banks of the Athabasca river. There is a great walking trail along the river and a spot you can go down to with a bit of a beach at a quiet piece of the river.

The staff are always amazing. They are working very hard to follow covid 19 protocols making us feel very comfortable and safe,. The family Unit (thats what we call it) has a great kitchenette, a 4pce bathroom, a double bed, master bedroom and a pull out couch, They are part way through renovating the units, but we have no complaints with the existing units. They are clean, beds are comfy. The wifi is fantastic and they have TVS if you actually turn it on...we never do.

There is an abundance of chairs and pic nik tables at the units. The elk seem to love the green space in the centre of property. We have always woken up to elk milling around, This trip there was 9 females and 1 Bull Elk.

On past trips we have been able to roast hot dogs and marshmallows for smores, but due to a pine beetle problem there was afire ban this trip.

We love the proximity to the Jasper Tram, townsite and Athabasca Falls.

The onsite restaurant is fabulous.

Thank you 589HSharonG for writing a review about your stay with us and thank you for continuing to return over the years. It is always a pleasure when you arrive. We are ecstatic to hear that you felt comfortable and safe while staying here. We put forth our best effort to ensure guests would remain safe. The family unit - also known as the Riverside Family Suite has recently had the kitchen and bathroom updated while we were closed over the winter. As for the TV... Jasper is a fantastic place to explore, we are glad that you took advantage of the lovely atmosphere and activities and the TV was not used. Our most common visitors are Elk. They truly do love our green space in the center of the property. This season we did not see as many as we usually do however they still made their presence known when they did arrive. Unfortunately, the fire pit will not be usable for the foreseeable future. The forested area in Jasper has taken a big loss of pine trees due to the pine beetle infestation. We will pass along your kind comments about the staff and Elk Village Restaurant. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Stay safe.

We loved our stay at Jasper House Bungalows. It was quiet, and a quick walk to a sandy beach, where you can sit on the rocks and watch the river, or go for a walk on near by trails. Access to town was also convenient. The staff was friendly, and was very respectful of Covid 19 guidelines. I have to say, I'm very picky when it comes to cleanliness in hotels, and i was very impressed with how spotless everything was. A great quiet get away for anyone who wants to be close to town, and trails for hiking and biking. Would recommend

I was here with my husband and 70 year old parents August 27-29 2021 staying in bungalow #30 which is right by the river. We got exactly what we wanted, which was a spacious cabin for 4 adults with a kitchenette to make breakfast in and space to hang out in for the evening. The kitchenette came with a frying pan, coffee maker, tea kettle, microwave fridge & stove. My only disappointment was the cookie sheet provided did not fit in the oven. There were adirondack chairs and a picnic table outside the cabin for our use. The best part was the elk herd that visited us at 7 am, we got to see the buck up close from our bedroom window! The location which is outside of Jasper is perfect as a home base as you explore the area. I will definitely return to this idyllic place!

We stayed at Jasper House Bungalows for two nights when we visited the Jasper National Park. We booked a room with 2 queen beds. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. We got a breakfast burrito at the on-site resto, it was tasty and of good value. The room and bed were comfy. We could hear the elk bugle sound at night but we were still able to sleep. The property was less than 10 minutes from town of Jasper, this gave us the convenient without being in the busy town area. Would recommend this place.

Not fancy, but good place to stay if you are planning to spend most your time outdoors. Great location along the river. Close to the townsite - we rode our bikes to town every morning for breakfast. We had a junior suite where the living/eating area overlooked the Athabasca River. There were chairs outside this area for enjoying the outdoors. The suite had one small bedroom and a pullout couch. The kitchen area is tiny but functional- it has a small fridge, two cooking burners, a small toaster oven and a microwave. Very little counter space. There is a coffee maker and coffee available.

Quiet location with easy access to river or back into town Lodges are fairly basic but clean. Heaters are a bit noisy when they come on . There are toiletries and coffee making facilities We found the room served our needs as we were out exploring most of the day We ate in the on site restaurant and can highly recommend the food there

We have stayed here for 5 nights in cabin number 20, which is a junior suite with lake view. The view is amazing and you can enjoy your dinner while listening to the river. If you are lucky you can see elks or bears at the river. The suite was well equipped with a small kitchenette (oven mit two fields, refrigerator, microwave, toaster), TV, small couch and separate bed room and bathroom. Everything was clean. Parking space for one car direct in front of your cabin. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The elk village restaurant had very tasty food. The prices are a little bit high but you will get a great view.

It was perfect. It was a family vacation and there were 4 adults. The place was immaculately clean which when a building is a log cabin that can be hard to do as the wood just traps the smell of dust. We really felt like we were on our own as it was so peacefully and quiet. The beds were extremely comfortable. Our windows looked out across the river so the view was amazing. Having the kitchen where we could make our own meals if we wanted to was perfect as we didn't have to deal with crowded restaurants and the noise level that comes with that. I would highly recommend staying here.

Has anyone stayed in the standard double rooms? Just wondering how they are?
Jasper, Canada12 contributions
Hello Meander26783739339, Yes, the Elk Village Restaurant is on the Jasper House Bungalows property and is walk-able from the river view bungalows. However it is on the opposite side of the property.

Good afternoon Louise806, October in Jasper can be fairly cool. We would recommend that you bring some warmer clothing just in case. We are located approximately 3.5 kilometers south of the town of Jasper. There are no shuttles or Uber however we do have taxis that can take you back and forth to the town of Jasper. They generally cost approximately $20 per trip one way. We look forward to welcoming you to Jasper House Bungalows.

We have traveled four times with Caravan and have been pleased with most aspects of the trips. When we went in September the wildfires prevented us from seeing some things. The scenery was beautiful. We did not care for our guide (Jim), he was not friendly and didn't even give out his cell phone number in case of emergency. So, just make sure you don't get him and you should have a great time. The hotels we're all good and the river rafting tour was fantastic! Hope this helps.
