The classic Fort Mac stay, in the heart of downtown across from City Hall. If you want to walk places instead of driving everywhere, stay here. The rooms are a bit dated but they're clean and the beds are nice.

This hotel is in need of renovation. The ceiling tiles are stained, one of the elevators has been vandalised and not repaired. Generally an old run down hotel in down town Ft McMurray. On the bright side, the rooms are clean and comfortable, if not a little dated. It's a good location downtown and having the Keg in the building... More

Very comfortable hotel, good value in Fort McMurray. Walking distance to restaurants and good amount of parking available. The staff are quite friendly and helpful at the Nomad. I prefer the downtown area of the city as it is much quieter than the industrial area where the other hotels are located. I will definitely return on my next visit.

I stayed here this past weekend for business and personal. The room was very clean and quiet, the location was a walking distance to mostly everything. There is the Keg restaurant and lounge as well as live bar and grill on site. Due to fires their Live Cafe was closed so there was no continental breakfast as it said, but... More

The Nomad is a fine place to stay. Clean rooms, friendly staff, ample parking, and fairly priced. I especially like that that it is connected to the Keg, and walking distance to the Wood Buffalo Brewery and other restaurants/bars.

The hotel is a bit old but always clean and staff are always friendly. It is central downtown so the location is great. However since the evacuation they have moved the pub from the basement to the breakfast café upstairs so coffee and breakfast are no longer available. This makes a big difference from some of the other hotel choices.

Having the 'Keg' as part of hotel is a real time 'Plus' for this hotel not having to get out a travel to another location particularly if the weather is nasty.. Most things are really good about this hotel.. location, room, quietness, etc.. A couple of areas that would make it better is the laundry service is more of a... More

Breakfast was missed, my hours were different than most guests but room still should have been cleaned, the shower did delay me for my first meeting and travelling in first night was hard, arrival was after midnight so shower was a big deal next morning.

I stayed at the Nomad for years . My last stay may be my last . Decrease in offerings , burnt out light bulbs , lack of business plug in and holes in towels . I've always like staying there because of location , star buck breakfast , but last visits it seems like I'm staying at a discount motel... More
