This place is nothing you would expect. We could not find a place in Lake Louise and info booth recommended this place. Some miles north in the middle of the glaciers. Outstanding. It is a rustic log hotel bur with 5 star cook and menu, comfortable feather beds - comfy cozy and away from all the hustles of the busy...

I am late in making this review (stayed in July 2014), but the sadness about the state of Num-ti-jah has stayed in my mind. I have stayed in this lovely historic and somewhat quirky lodge off and on for 40 years and always loved it - for the historical character, comfortable (if plain) rooms, friendly staff (the Simpson Family)and the...

Unfortunately, we did not consult Tripadvisor before we stayed at this hotel. We found the negative reviews about the hotel to be very true! The manager quoted us a price for our two nights. She changed the rate when we checked out. We paid the bill and then told our bank/credit card issuer about our problem. The bank credited our...

My husband and I discovered Num-ti-jah in 1980. In 1983 we honeymooned here. It has never been a luxury destination, even when Jimmy Simpson, Jr. and his sweet sister were running it. What it is, is a miracle, hewn out of wilderness and maintained with love and superhuman effort. When the Simpson family let it go, the current owners (20...

We stayed here one night in the fall of 2014. If you go into this with no expectations whatsoever you might not be as disappointed as we were. We had wanted to stay here for a long time and based on the reviews we read, we thought it was going to be good at the very least. However we were...

I gave the hotel a 5 for its type. This is definitely not a luxurious hotel, very rustic, but wonderful. Takes you back in time. I was on a bike tour with Backroads, and we stayed at this very rustic lodge out in the middle of nowhere along the Glacier highway - it was lovely. The lodge is very, very...

We were showing a friend from New Zealand our part of Canada & the Rockies. Stayed 1 night. (The Lodge ended up being HER Favorite stay of her 3 week holiday) I had been many years ago. Again not disappointed. We appreciate Heritage Hotels, Peace & Quiet. They have done a great job of caring the Lodge for so many...

We stayed one night at the Num-Ti-Jah Lodge and it was wonderful in every way. The views are to die for - stunning. The location, at the shore of the Bow Lake and below the Crowfoot Glacier is absolutely what you go to the Rockies for. The Lodge is of a heavy timber construction and is great fun. It nestles...

I don't normally write reviews, but I haven't experienced something so overpriced with such horrible service as I did here. We had driven past this lodge a couple of times and decided to give it a try for our anniversary given the Bow Lake and hiking options surrounding the lodge. If I knew I was going to be charged through...
