Very quiet as they were in their transitional time of year from summer to winter. Very cool cabins and chalet rooms. Despite a booking screw up on their end of all worked out in the end and we got a nice getaway from the kids. Jacuzzi tub was awesome. There was the option to have a fire down by the creek as they have group sitting areas. Both Banff and Lake Louise are close.

Property's Favourite Review
Tucked out of the way on a very quiet section of the 1a highway this small resort is an excellent way to immerse yourself in what the Banff National Park is about. It is very isolated and you can immerse yourself in nature. There is a group of log cabins of various sizes and floor plans designed to accommodate anything from a romantic couple to a large family. We found the trappers cabin that we stayed in very cozy and well maintained and beautifully decorated. It was the perfect romantic week-end getaway location. We did not get a chance to view any of the other cabins or the lodge but from what we saw they were equally impressive. The grounds were excellent, lots of hiking, biking or just relaxing and reading options. Be aware, that like anywhere in the mountains the main railroad line is nearby, but they don't honk their horns at night and travel by very quickly. They did not disturb us at all. Being that it was 2020 and there are Covid restrictions we felt that the restaurant did a good job of accommodating with limited tables, shorter hours and a smaller menu. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was very good. If you are staying for more than a few days you may want to do some of your own meals or travel to Lake Louise (short drive) for a bit of variety. We are already planning our return in the winter with family to use as a base for skiing at Lake Louise.

It was a birthday gift for my husband ...the experience was fine..my expectations may have been too high...we have stayed at both Johnston's Canyon cabins and Castle cabins .. so Baker Creek was to be the upgrade... With the Bistro not there ..a little of the magic is gone..the lodge at $300 a night was fine, no place for breakfast though...a bit strange in the set up ..there is no fire burning fireplace but the tub is romantic..I would recommend spending more and go for a cabin...

We had a great cabin on the border of the resort, looking out over the water. The balcony of the cabin made it possible to let the dogs walk around free. The beds were good and the kitchen appliances were ok.

We absolutely loved our stay at Baker Creek. The suite had everything you could possibly want, was incredibly clean and very cosy. The setting is spectacular with the balcony overlooking the river. Only 20 minutes max to Lake Louise as well so ideal to explore the area.
