The nearby trains entering the area not only rattled the very ground our camper had settled onto for a 3 night family get together excursion, but they also sounded their horns 24/7 effectively destroying any sense of relaxing. Bring ear plugs and nighttime sedatives! Another disappointment was the lack of fire pits at most of the campsites.

This campground is fantastic. Located near a river and walking distance to Lake Louise village and lake, its a great location. The sites are very spacious, all among trees, and with lots of privacy. The kids loved the many squirrels. There are no fire rings though. Washrooms are very clean and plenty so we never had to wait to shower....

The sites were very large and had a lot of trees, which created some privacy. The showers were hot, and the bathrooms were clean. The electric fence added a sense of safety, as there was a bear warning at the time of our stay. Location was great - around the corner from Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, and also the...

This not a good site, which merely trades on its name "lake Louise". But don't be fooled, as it's not near Lake Louise (5km away up a steep, very busy road). Pits here are arranged in pairs, so as a family unit, we booked 2 sites together, only to find they were not together at all but next to each...

Hot showers but not very clean. Showers are a long walk from most sites. Sites do not have much seclusion. Easy and quick access to Lake Louise trail head. Along a beautiful river with a walking/running/cycling path. Near to store, gas, etc.

The sites were large and mostly treed. Hot showers, flush toilets and an electrical fence and "Texas gate" to keep the bears out. Food storage areas are also available for the tenters and cook houses for those rainy days with wood stoves. Each site had a fire pit. The parks staff really take your safety into concern as there is...

Totally worth the stay. Away from the city noise and with ample sites to accommodate a big tent and up to two vehicles or a medium size motorhome/trailer. Too bad there are no better views of the surrounded nature. The fact that is protected by an electric fence allows wildlife to stay out and gives you the peace of mind...

We've tent camped/car camped at a lot of campgrounds. Here is the breakdown of pros/cons: Pros 1. Close to Lake Louise Village 2. Hot showers (with decent water pressure) 3. Flush toilets 4. Separate sink to wash dishes (it's near the main shower house) 5. ELECTRIC FENCE AROUND ENTIRE TENT CAMPGROUND! Cons 1. Showers are often crowded and get dirty...

Came here to finish a weeks camping trip. The last two days just happened to be the coldest nights as well. The campground Barely had any fire pits and some areas weren't allowed fire pits which made absolutely no sense since people in the section next to us were able to have one. The bathrooms were very dirty and the...

As I had pre-registered online, check in was a breeze, but true to form, the Parks Cda staff couldn't even give us proper directions to our site. Fortunately there were many vacant sites so turning around and entering from the proper direction was not a problem. The layout of this campground is ridiculous. All sites are shared and the electric...
