The hostel is not so closer to downtown but you can go there walking without baggage. The restaurante within Hostel is very good and all staff is very attentive. Rooms and Bathrooms are clean and organized.
Hostel has a great backpackers atmosphere. Room was quite small, but clean with comfortable bed. View from our window was stunning. We did not have a bathroom in our room and shared bathroom on our floor was clean and OK. Staff at reception was easygoing...More

Hi, all three of the snow resorts have transportation leaving from the town. Norquay is 10 minutes away, Sunshine is 20 minutes and Lake Louise is 40 minutes away. All three have their advantages and it's worth visiting all of them! The HI-Banff gives guests a free city bus pass, so you can take the transit right from outside the hostel to the snow bus hub and from there to your ski/board destination - plus it gives you transportation to a lot of the other local attractions for free.
