I thought this hostel was a great deal (only $38!) and the most affordable place to crash for a night. I was in a room with 7 other girls who were really nice. Bunk beds were clean and there was ample floor space plus 2 storage closets in the room to store extra stuff. I liked that the shower was... More

Put in position of founding a place within 2 weeks traveling - difficult to found 3 nights, but this place had 1 room that covered my dates! Yeah! I was truly happy to find something and then at a reasonable price. I had checked hotels & B&Bs. We had room 315 that faced the court yard with 2 of the... More

Great location and our room was adequate. We had a compact toilet/bathroom joined to our room which was handy. Only 2 bedside lamps lit the room with only 2 electrical plugs in the room it wasn't ideal. Advertised that you get 'free wifi' is incorrect. For our stay 3nights we were unable to successfully connect to the internet to send/receive... More

Good value compared to the $300 and $400 a night rooms in many Banff hotels. A good location, about 10 minutes level walk into the town centre and right next to the walk to Bow River falls. Rooms were clean, and reception staff friendly and efficient. Well heated in cold weather, and the heating system runs without any noise. Room... More

For a basic hotel this was just fine. We had an ensuite and 2 double beds which was nice, as the communal bath didn't smell very clean. There are no TVS or any real amenities, but we didn't mind. It was unfortunate during our stay the Internet was not working well, and even basic netflix or YouTube wasn't working but... More

This is called a hotel, but don't expect a fancy modern hotel. And you shouldn't when you compare the prices! This was a friendly no-frills low cost option, which I was perfectly happy with. The rooms were old and worn - but clean and sufficient. I was helped by friendly staff when I needed it and I would just say... More

I stayed here from Aug.6-9 (3 nights, 4 days, $400) and I thought the value, for what we expected, was very good. I was expecting a clean bed, a shared hallway bathroom, and not much else. What I got in addition was: - Free WiFi (slow, but functional) - A cafe inside the hotel (decent, not great) - Fantastic location... More

We stayed at the YMCA hotel for one night (we had been camping the other nights) and without a doubt it's the least expensive place in Banff and at least half the price of a hotel room. The room was very clean, modest and simple and was exactly what we were looking for. I don't understand why people would spend... More
