My wife and I stayed here many times and we know which rooms have a "view" we like. When I tried to request, on 3 separate occasions before our stay, for a level 300 room or higher, I was told they would put a note on our file. When we checked in I was told we were in room 208....

Got back last week, it is truly the one for family with kids. There is a playzone, park, pool and water slides to keep kids busy. There is also - game area, fitness center, grill station (did not visit). The kids were eager to return to the hotel in time to get to the water slides.

our chalet would have burned down if it would not have been the presence of mind of my teenage son who grabbed the extinguisher. entire sofa and carpet which are way too close to fireplace were on fire. and my husband who was sitting on the sofa got away just in time. his feet were on fire, but fortunately he...

We are relieved the authors of this review were not harmed and that the damage to the room was not more extensive. We replaced the couch and the carpet at our cost. The vast majority of our condos and cabins have wood burning fireplaces. We are in full compliance with stringent insurance company and fire department regulations and pass inspections...

We stayed in a one bedroom condo at Douglas Fir for 3 days during our trip to Banff. We had a good time here, the room is clean, the staff are very friendly, onsite store is convenient, the kitchen is well equipped, and the giant water slide is a plus if you have kids. We had a little incident on...

This is a good value, child-friendly choice if staying in Banff. We stayed in a loft condo with one bedroom downstairs, 2 double-beds upstairs (with en-suite toilet) and a sofa bed downstairs - plenty of sleeping space for the 5 of us. The condo is very well equipped with TVs, kitchen appliances, wi-fi, etc, although the kitchen is fairly compact....

Our large group had a huge suite with a lovely view, spa, good kitchen, multiple bathrooms, etc. We stayed two nights and loved the hotel. The kids especially loved the indoor water slides. A great hotel, but it WAS expensive.

We stayed for 3 nights in a one bedroom condo at the Douglas Fir Resort. This class of room is located on the bottom floor of a 4 unit building (two loft units up, two one bedroom units down) which makes them quite dark. The unit was very functional, if a little small. The rooms were clean but dated. All...

We stopped here for one night on our way through Banff. It was a nice location, close to town and had a view of the mountains from our patio. The waterslides and indoor pool were nice and the kids enjoyed having a chance to burn off some energy. The room itself was good size and the kitchenette was appreciated. There...
