We stayed here for a night while visiting Banff. Its an older hotel that is well maintained. Units were well equipped and our boys loved the slides. Everyone's back was a bit red after since the slides are a bit rough in areas. Play area was indoors and huge. Our boys had a great time. Price seemed a bit high...

I was extremely skeptical about my stay here because of the bad reviews and pictures. If there hadn't been so many of us travelling as a group I would have chosen elsewhere just because of the bad reviews. Despite the actual conditions of the hotel itself the amenities are truly awesome, especially for families with kids. We had hours of...

Can't believe this was our first visit to the Douglas Fir with the kids and they're now 7, this place was great for them, and we should have stayed here long before now! We've stayed at a lot of places in Banff over the last few years, and although this resort is older and is definitely a little worn, our...

Stayed one night and not happy. Not enough seating in the living room, fireplace smoked BADLY, kitchen was so worn out looked original from 1980 Bed linen clean and well presented. Pools and play areas good but signing to find them awful. Bathroom upgraded. OVERALL POOR FOR THE PRICE

The staff are great but the room we had was very worn out as far as the upholstery on the furniture it was kind of gross really. At least the bathroom looked redone with a new tub shower combo and it was very clean. The sheets on the bed were clean and I did not look any further than that....

I stayed for 2 weeks at Douglas Fir Resort at Tunnel Mountain in Banff over the Xmas New Year period. My daughter and I had a studio apartment with cooking facilities. It's a good 20-25 minute walk from the town centre - uphill from town - but there's a shuttle bus every 40 minutes free to hotel guests. The facilities...

We had a reservation with this hotel in November, and had to rebook due to unforeseen circumstances. We were supposed to visit it tomorrow night, but my son came down with croup. I called to explain this to them and they are still charging us for a night. BS excuse of being able to fill the room. Having worked in...

I'm sorry to read your response, we worked with you on several occasions trying to reschedule your booking on short notice so you would not be charged a cancellation fee. As you will see on your credit card you were not charged for cancelling your reservation despite cancelling after the very reasonable 48 hour deadline. This was a gesture of...

We decided to book a family road trip to Banff for my husband's birthday, and we chose the Douglas Fir because of the water slides, the kitchenette, and a bedroom with a door.... great things when travelling with a 2 year old. The units were a bit more dated hen I had expected, but everything was clean and in decent...

Stayed at the Douglas Fir for a Friday/Saturday night in January. What a great place to go with the family! Our one bedroom Condo was perfect for myself, wife and two kids. Murphy bed in the main room and separate bedroom for the kids to sleep in so we could stay up to watch TV and read. Condos have a...
