Thank you for your nice review. We hope to see you visit and stay with us next time.
We stayed here for several nights. Overall the hotel has some excellent features - free tea and coffee 24/7, nice but small pool fine for the kids to play and the rooms were nice and clean. All things you expect from a hotel. It is...More

The hotel is, as stated, in the Banff Townsite, only about 12 km from the Park Gates. There are a great number of hiking trails throughout Banff National Park so it really depends on what level of hiker you might be. There are very picturesque walks that start in and around the townsite, but there are also challenging trails into the back country that have trailheads on the major roadways that traverse the mountains. Hwy 1, Hwy 1A (Bow Valley Parkway). Pick up a map or simply Google Banff National Park hiking trails, they will give you maps, locations of trailheads, description of terrain and difficulty level of hike. Hope this helps.
