After reading a few of the comments I think some people forget they are in Banff. This place is excellent location as a base for exploring the region. It's not a resort for staying in. The whole township outside the front door, restaurants and pubs within easy walk and Elle at the front desk was happy and helpful. If you...

Booked this for one night as a cheap place for the family to stay before going skiing the next day. Didn't expect much just a place to lay our heads but we're totally happy with the stay. The room was a great size for our family of five, our smallest slept int the king bed with my husband and I...

I was on my way to BC with my cousin, then we ran out of gas and we stopped at Banff. I met with some friends and decided to stay for the night. The first hotel we stopped at was Mount Royal, which was for the same price and included breakfast, but they had only one available room with a...

Worst hotel. $500 for thee nights I thought I was getting something decent. Old run down hotel. Elevator smells like a veterinarians office. Walls are paper thing so it is extremely noisy. Management lets people party in the hall ways past 4pm!!! We got absolutely no sleep. I see why they charge your credit card at the beginning of the...

King Edward was the perfect place for a long weekend. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm. It is right on the Main Street so as for location, it doesn't get any better. The rooms aren't as small as I had expected with many other reviews making a...

Great location on Banff avenue for a good price. The bus stop is just outside which will take you to all the attractions. The wifi is good. The room wasn't warm enough. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. I would stay here again when I'm in town.

Incredibly impressed with the King Edward. After reading the reviews, I was a little skeptical, but couldn't go past the price. You will not find a cheaper hotel in a better location. Beds were extremely comfortable & the linen was beautiful. Rooms were small, but when you're in a town like Banff, you don't spend much time in your room...

Yes the rooms are small but for the price you pay and the location in downtown it is second to none for value for money especially when travelling with others. The internet is a little hit and miss but aside from this I would very strongly recommend staying here.

We chose to stay overnight at the last minute during a day trip to Banff last October, so we could wake up early the next morning and do the gondola trip up the mountain. The KEH was convenient, had underground parking and was reasonable in price, but the rooms had (IMO) too much furniture, leading to the sideways shuffle around...

I stayed here with my partner in a queen room in mid- late October and we were very impressed. When we checked in the front desk staff were very helpful and friendly and knew of their surroundings! The rooms were nice and clean and had just everything that we required, and if we happened to need anything extra the front...
