To hear nothing but nature is a real treat these days and combine that with wonderful food and you go along way to creating something special. 2.4k down a dirt track is Casa Joya, a rural lodging offering high quality food and rooms that have a splash of something different. We had dinner, bed and breakfast there. Arriving early we...

Once again James and Mary excel with a fantastic menu and great service. The food is amazing and for a very reasonable price. The restaurant may be a little off the beaten track but that is part of the charm. Thanks

I took the suegros here to celebrate 46 years of marriage. The place is absolutely wonderful. It is really welcoming and has a warm atmosphere. The pictures on the wall and the ornaments are fabulous. They all tell a story. The garden is green and vibrant. Mary is so welcoming and professional whilst also giving you the personal touch. It...

Visited with friends for lunch in December 14 of us to see to and it all went smoothly. Some wine to start with it was beautiful smooth and full of flavour. Mary the host was very attentive and the food was excellent. The road to the restaurant after the main road is a bit scary. I would go back in...

Spent an amazing night here. A secret location in Spain that shouldn't be a secret. The food in the restauarant is unbelievable. The atmosphere, the location, the service, and not to mention the food are all outstanding. DO NOT visit this part of Spain without going for a meal here. You will regret it if you don't go here, easily...

We have been staying with some friends at their villa near Velez Blanco. They suggested an evening meal at Casa Joya as they had been there several times themselves. Wonderful choice. The building is perched on a hillside and is accessed by a small dirt road, which can lead you to believe you have taken a wrong turn. There are...

A very unusual place, in the most beautiful setting. Small and quite intimit. Went for lunch with friends which was a very good idea as the little road off the main road is a bit rough, I wouldn't recommend using it in the dark. You could however have dinner there and stay over in one of the guest rooms. Food...

We went for a birthday party with 11 others and hired all five bedrooms. The access road is pretty rough but the hotel is set in a beautiful location so worth the journey. This renovated finca has been very well decorated with memorabilia depicting the proprietors background. James, the chef, was previously at a famous London restaurant and mary, his...

Eight of us went to Casa Joya to celebrate my husband's 80th birthday yesterday. What a fabulous lunch we had - first class. Mary and James made us really welcome. Four of us stayed overnight and the apartments are beautiful. Had a great sleep in a very comfy bed. Casa Joya is situated in such a quiet and peaceful location....
