We have been visiting the Bulls Head for 9 years when visiting my husband's family in the Midlands from Leeds. We always enjoy a warm welcome from the lovely young lady and the staff. The food is well cooked, homemade and very filling! The portions are on the large side so we can never quite manage a dessert. A proper...

The starters were excellent and set the bar high for the mains but we were a little disappointed. It wasn't quite what we expected but still nice. The staff are friendly and gave very good service. A nice village also.

We like to get away and take a break from the normal routine of everyday life. While searching for a suitable place on Trip Advisor, we found The Bulls Head and it looked ideal, as we required a Family room for 3 People. Although we only live in the neighbouring county of Leicestershire, we thought that we would stay somewhere...

Great place to stay and once the refurbishments have been completed then it will be even better. The newly refitted room looks great. Great breakfast, comfortable rooms, friendly hosts, good value, highly recommended.

Doug and Becky are great hosts and extend a warm welcome to guests. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The menu is varied and caters for most tastes. I ate at the restaurant most nights and was not disappointed with the quality and quantity of the meals. The Bulls Head makes a nice refreshing change to the usual corporate...

The perfect place to stay not matter what your circumstances. Doug and Becky are wonderful hosts, and are supported by an amazing team. The accommodation is near perfect. It isn't the cold sterile hotel environment you get when staying in a large multiple, but proper bedroom with a wonderful bed .... "Warm, Cosy & Welcomg". Despite being directly above the...

Warm greeting on arrival. Ordered off of the PT menu & was not disappointed. Fish cake starter & goats cheese starters were amble & very tasty. 4 adults we ordered steak, coq a vin, lamb & mint suet pudding & steak & ale pie, all came with a choice of potato & salad or veg. Make sure you're hungry as...

Overnighted last weekend, arrived lunchtime to a warm welcome from one of the bar staff. We read the inviting menu showing old favourites and more modern dishes plus the well priced specials board. We opted for just a sandwich as we were eating again later. Our well filled sandwiches were accompanied by a crisp fresh salad - lovely. Our family...

I'm currently a student nurse and I stayed at the Bulls head for a full month whilst out on placement in Swadlincote, the staff that work within this place are absolutely amazing and the owners Doug and Becky made me feel at home, throughout my course I have stayed in many different places, this is the only place where I...
