My wife wanted to stay somewhere right on the beach. Palmas is the place. The sliding glass door at the back of our room opens onto a patio that overlooks the pool and the beach and the Sea of Cortez. Our room was very nice. The Palmas has an on-site breakfast restaurant called Tito's and a fine-dining restaurant called the...

My wife booked 2 nights to celebrate my birthday just last week. The hotel is very nice, and right on the beach. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous, giving you a welcome feeling. The rooms are clean, nicely appointed and comfortable. We were on the 2nd floor, overlooking the small pier which is used for the many fishermen attending...

If your looking to go off the beaten path and still enjoy amazing cuisine this is the place. One of my favorite bill fishing destinations in the world. We caught 3 Marlin, 2 sailfish, 54 Tuna, and several other species. The sea lions were playing on the rocks. Don't drink the water, LOL.

We have grown up going to Hotel Palmas and love going here. The owners are constantly adding new features to the property and it is very relaxing. The outdoor pool is great for adults and kids and there is plenty of room for everyone.

Los Barriles is a very wonderful laid back town on the east cape. The water is spectacular and is great for fishing. It is also close to many other fine outdoor activities. However to me the Hotel Palmas de Cortez was just OK and not worth the price we paid. I know we went off season, but things seemed a...

I will preface this review with the fact that I went here for a guys fishing trip and not a family get away. Hotel has transportation available from the airport which was a van with ac which was nice. The property is sprawling and pretty large. That being said, it is all over the place. Some things are neglected and...

We went to this resort in order to make my dream come true of going Marlin fishing. The resort is gear up for this with lots for do for those not wanting to fish. We were the only non Americans tourist present but this was not a problem. The fishing, food , service and accommodation was extremely good.

A friend and I stayed here 4 nights and 3 days of fishing in late June. The stay went well as the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was also good and the weather was great while we were there. We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds and A/C worked VERY well and kept the room comfortable....

Been staying in the condos here for years, by far the best pool in the area. Beers are only $3.00 at the swim up bar. Fishing can be great here but I love to fish on the cruiser El Borracho with Captain Raul Montano and his deck hand Leo. In two / half days (6:30 - 12:00) of fishing this...

Fancy! Shared a bungalow with a fellow photographer for the "Keepin It Reel" fishing and poker tournament. We also had a presidential suite for partying with the calendar models and poker. The room was as clean as expected. I loved the breakfast, and tacos through out the day. Who doesn't love a taco or two while in Mexico. The infiniti...
