I was staying at a VRBO in Los Barriles, and wanted a change of scenery. I took my daughter (2) and nephews to the hotel to get a day pass, and spend the day at the pools and beach. It was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pools were clean, the beach was great also. We will be back, and I would tell anyone visiting to go here

Let’s start this review by being clear that it’s during Covid. That being said the room was the worst part. So moldy that the smell after just a few minutes in the room my head started to hurt. I’m very sensitive to mold, yet I guess most people are. We couldn’t even air the room with both the balcony door and the front door open. So we couldn’t stay here sadly. The other side of it is that overall the place was very run down and kind of nasty. Definitely not worth almost $200 a night they were charging. I would skip los Barriles all together during Covid because everything in town was closed and it’s very remote. You couldn’t even find a place to eat. The upside was that we were able to cancel and the staff was very accommodating in helping us cancel.

If you are coming here for a luxury vacay you have come to the wrong town. This is a fishing destination. I do not fish but this town has some cute quirky ness that makes me want to visit for night. This is probabaly the nicest hotel in town. It's dated, but has charm. The pool is on the beach and nice amd relaxing. It's Covid so I imagine it can get crazy with families. There is a Tennis court and pickle ball court and a swim up bar. For a night away from the craziness of Los Cabos it's nice. Rooms are clean beds are ok. If your looking for a place in Barielles this is it.

Great time fishing with Israel on Rosa Maria. He put in the hard work to get us on a Striped Marlin and we will have a freezer full of Dorado. The hotel is great for fishing and all other east cape adventures. The bay view restaurant has great food, staff and nightly live music. The hot tub was great after a long day of fishing or off road exploring. This would be a five star review if the beautiful pool was heated.

Awesome Day Fishing With Palmas De Cortez Hotel. Fishing With Captain Israel Castro On His Super Panga Rose Maria was Great. Smooth Riding Panga And Fast. I Caught 3 Dorado And My First Blue Marlin Released. Captain Israel estimated At 180 Pounds. I Battle It For About 1 Hour Such A Beautiful Beast Of The Sea Of Cortez. Captain Israel Is A Friendly Guy And Knows The Area's To Catch Quality Size Fish And Likes To Sportfish. We Fished Up North Of The Hotel Outside Of Bahia De Los Muertos. Good Times With Palmas De Cortez Hotel.
