Unless you have a timeshare here - rethink your plans. This resort is for LOCALS! So unless you speak Spanish and look the part, you will be treated differently. REGISTRATION Not enough staff - Long lines at check-in - no welcome drink or packet or map. Here is your room key - Good Luck! They will lie to you about rooms being ready, even if the signs say a time. They need to be trained on how to welcome guests, smile, and ask if there is anything they can assist with. They don't seem to care. Don't be afraid to be persistent (loud) when you finally get someone to talk to you. Make them follow their own rules. ROOM Very basic, think one step up from Motel 6, but smaller. Our view out the was great but the view of the room really lacked. The room was well worn, lots of small things that made it look used. Dings, dents, holes in curtains, not closing fully. It was a small room with some storage. I don't see 4 people staying in this room. No way, not enough space for luggage or storage. Beds were small. Walls were thin and you could hear people in the halls and next door. TV did have working channels. Bring an extension cord. No USB ports and only like 2 outlets - they are 110 v. Never saw the Ice machines. There are small elevators in the building we were in, not sure about all buildings. WIFI Get the code (free) from registration and the wifi mostly worked. Some places are better than others. It's expensive if you want the high speed connection (wifi) in the room. Didn't try the high speed, it was too expensive. We could video conf and do most everything with the regular. IN ROOM FOOD/DRINK Nice bowl of fruit and snacks and a few drinks in Fridge. Never replaced. Never restocked. We found out the last day you have to call to have it restocked. So call every day! EVENING DINING Unless you are a timeshare owner, you are SECOND CLASS!!! All reservations go to them. You have to wait in line at like 4:30 or 5 (told different things) and see if you can get into a fine dining place. We didn't do this, not worth it, cause we can't see the menu and wife has allergies. We would rather go to the buffet than chance it and wait in line. Also, restaurants are not all open at the same time. They rotate days open. BREAKFAST LABAMBA - good for Breakfast, made to order items. Sit down with servers. CASA BELLA - Buffet - Pretty good - no one really speaks English - you have to wait in line at each station and point/grunt what you want. It can take a while to get what you want to eat. Ask for 3 egg omelet at the station, otherwise you might get a 1 egg (if you don't speak Spanish) LUNCH LABAMBA - Basic cafeteria food. Burgers were acceptable. Everything else not really worth it. I'm sure the food staff try but it really is cheap food - for example the nacho cheese is the cheap plastic looking cheese. The Pizza, it's okay, well not really. unless you want a burger, go elsewhere. CASA BELLA - Buffet, see Breakfast review. Same wait, point and grunt. They serve you on your plate. The food is better than La Bamba. Lots more choices and looks better. Still looks like bulk purchase and put out. They have Salad, Fruit, meats, sides and desserts. Building needs to be remodeled. SNACKS Piazzetta dei Forni is decent pizza and other rotating snacks. DINNER CASA BELLA, they theme the nights when we were there and it was mostly decent. Still wait, point, grunt for food. At least there were options, like Salads, Fruit, Entree, Sides, dessert. It still seemed like cafeteria food. Dress for Dinner (and lunch) is "NOT WET" so shorts/tshirt and flipflops are fine. BEACH Get their early to get a chair, and be warned people will try to take your chair. There is drink service on the beach at least most days, not every day. It is a public beach so there are people selling stuff. The massage on the beach was like $35 USD and wasn't bad. Waves were great, water is NOT clear like Cancun. It's fun to walk down the beach and see other resorts and watch the sunset. POOL Kids play Zone, great for small kids, small pool and cool looking slides. There is a party pool - music all the time, pool games and exercise. Family Pool - low music and calm Adult Pool - same as Family but adults only. The beds are accessible to anyone at the pool - just get there early to hold one. The beds on the beach and the NICE restaurant (the food looked fresh and good) on the beach are for Timeshare only (remember you are a second class guest). Don't worry they usually rope/gate you off from the timeshare people so you don't mingle with them. There is drink service at these pools. BARS They may show top (ok middle) shelf bottles but your not going to get the better alcohol. Stick to main drinks you like and know. They were just OK in taste. There is a Starbuck and Bar between the party pool and the buffet in that building. When its open that is a great lounge area to relax and site. The bar is nice. Rememer Starbucks isn't included in you All-inclusive so you will have to pay. Mini-Golf 9 hole course. Get clubs and balls in the teen center. I can say - someone tried to make a course. It's really just got children to hit balls, lose them, look for them, and lose them and repeat. The Rock sides don't work in this setting. KIDS CLUB - for my older kid he went to teen room - they had video games and pool table. Not organize, just someone watching them at the door. The little kids seem to have fun, we saw them around the resort playing. They had organized activities. BTW they are not checking on ages for the teen room. The TEEN room is near the buffet. The younger kids is past the buffet near mini golf. Off Property Adventures. These people know customer service and treated you nice. it's expensive, as all adventures are, but it was good. Even the transfers (not furnished by hotel) from the airport and they spoke no English, and they were nicer than anyone at the resort. COVID They do offer covid testing, you will need to ask when and where - it's limited times. Again no information given. Overall - I was really disappointed, I've stayed at some all inclusive resorts and paid much less. Food was blah, room was less than stellar, felt and treated like second class person. So if you are US, UK, Canada, go to any other resort or go to Cancun. They need to train the staff on basic customer service and some English. Stop the timeshare dinner reservation system and the beach food service for only timeshare. You can't come up with something better. Remember no matter what language we speak, everyone that you talk to deserves respect - and that was what was lacking. A respect of the guest. Even the signage for the store only one person can go in. They need to paint/remodel/work on their facility. They are upgrading somethings it looks like. But the rooms are really worn. The staff, just didn't seem to care. Not one person asked how our stay was going and we were at registration/bars several times. I guess you need to own a timeshare to get the nice treatment and speak Spanish. For the amount of money we spent, we were disappointed. So I can't recommend this place. I don't know if all places in Puerto Vallarta are local only - but this place sure is.…
Great spot! Nice entertainment team! We really enjoyed our days by the pool and the great hospitality. Good restaurant options at the repertory and lots of selection at the buffet. We love the fire pizzas! Leo David
Great drinks good food and beautiful women David Leo I like the restaurant you want me and you are going on the same day lol lol I’m just going on a big trip now and I don’t want you in my car anymore but I love this place very much
Activities and service was wonderful! Very welcoming, clean and entertaining. I enjoyed myself very much. David and Leo were awesome! Bingo was very fun and prizes were amazing. I didn’t expect to have so much fun and be so entertained. Awesome experience!
It was a crazy vacation because of charly, lupita, Leo, Freddie, Ceasar because of games like blackjack in the pool. Their Micheal Jackson was so good. We go a lot and the quality always the same but it’s always new experiences
