We had a lovely three nights at Kookoo's Nest, which is located in a cove on a dry peninsular quite unlike the rest of Negros, and around the corner from Tambobo Bay. Its only problem is that it has a tiny beach and is extremely popular with day visitors. This is by no means the fault of the resort, but...

What Nicky and Jamie have created is perfect! We had 4 wonderful nights at Kookoo's Nest and loved everything about the experience. Getting a motorbike from the main road was fun but a bit scary, so getting a van back to the main road is a it safer. The food at the resort is beautiful and the staff so generous...

My family and I checked out after 1 night of a supposedly 2 night stay. I was traveling with 3 kids (9, 7 and 4) and eating in a reasonable amount of time when they're hungry is important to me. During dinner our first night, our dinner which I ordered hours beforehand arrived around 40 minutes late. The kids' dessert...

My boyfriend and I met up with several friends at the Kookoo's Nest the last week of March. We had very little idea of what to expect on this vacation. Upon arrival, if you choose the locals way of transportation(which you should!), you'll get a cheaper value and memories of a lifetime. We traveled an hour and half on a...

So, we very very rarely stay at one place twice and to stay three times the place has got to be somewhere really special........Kookoo's Nest is that special. I won't go on about the magical location, mesmerising house reef (and diving), small but perfectly formed beach, simply beautiful and clean bungalows, food to die for, fun company......the list is endless....

This place is so good. Cozy surroundings, kindly staff and owners and delicious homemade food. The water is very clear and perfect for diving and snorkeling. The cottages are very charming and it's all bamboos. It's definitely a worth visiting this place and it's not difficult to get here by bus from Dumaguete. See you again Kookoo's Nest :)

Paradise. Perfect in every way; food, diving, hospitality, amazing accommodation, massage. Relaxing but also things to do; nice walks, snorkelling, kayaking, dogs & a cat. Wonderful buffet each night, great opportunity to meet people & share stories. Great corals and lots of fish; Jamie and Nikki care for the environment and are passionate about the local area and what they...

I'll start with the owners Nikki and Jamie. Oh so nice with their dogs, Barney, Bella, Toby, Daisy and Sally (the sausage dog). What an adorable bunch. The staff and cooks are very friendly as well. Food? Freshly baked bread, herbs from their own garden. Choices are endless with Asian and European influences and everything in between. They have a...

We spent 2 nights in a fabulous bamboo hut. The best we have ever seen. It s rustic but beautiful. You can open the wooden stores and completely open the room and the terasse, enjoy a hammock with a sunset view. The food is also great. Depending on affluence, they propose a buffet, always tasty and healthy. Home made bread,...

I read the negative reviews and they don't reflect our experiences. We found the place quiet, relaxing, very private and very enjoyable. Saw lizards at night in the roof of our hut, but no rats. Our hut was excellent: well designed, well built, outside bathroom, hammock on the porch, and nice view. The lighting was excellent, unobtrusive, well focused, and...
