My boyfriend and I stayed in Alex's hostel for two nights and we enjoyed that time for max!! Alex gave us great tips for local delicious restaurants, those spots where you would never go as a tourist (with poor spanish:).... and helped us plan day trips to check out surroundings of Colima city. Comfy beds, clean sheets, perfect internet connection...

This is a great little hostel, basic but very comfortable with fresh sheets and pillowcases, a good kitchen, and very clean. Colima is a really beautiful town, just a beautiful Mexican town, and the people are really friendly. But the great fun is going to the volcano with Alex! He is quite passionate about the volcano and the natural area...

I was frustrated by my search for affordable accommodations in colima, until I got very lucky, and found El Litchi! The hostel really is a home, and Alex is an awesome host. He is extremely knowledgeable about Colima and area, and will give you an incredible experience visiting the volcano. Alex went far beyond providing a (very comfortable) bed and...

First off Colima is such a beautiful calm little city, and El Litchi is a wonderful quiet place to stay when visiting Colima. Great owner (alex) who will tell you anything you need to know about colima and surrounding areas. Safe and gated very close to amazing food and drink, a must stay !

Alex was the best host, he was friendly, helpful and taught us an awesome dominos game (which my friends and I have re-named El Litchi). Spent both nights there drinking playing cards and dominos. Colima city itself wasn't of that much interest, we were mainly there to chill out. We were travelling as a group 7, and all got a...

While the city of Colima isn't a big deal, the hostal of de French owner really is. Rooms are clean, the kitchen is spacy and the terrace/livingroom is a nice place to read, play, eat, drink, ... The owner himself is really great too. He led me practice my Spanish and corrected me a few times, which I really liked....

Stopped here for a night on my way south. The owner - Alex - was super friendly, and accommodating, and really has a passion for making everyone's stay the best. He really believes in the uniqueness of Colima, and offers tours for anyone interested. I'm riding a motorcycle south, so the most important thing for me in every city I...
