I can’t believe I’ve forgotten to write this review! We went in October, 2019. Dream Weaver was just what we wanted and needed, as we aproached our 40th anniversary. That is, no pretentious glitz, and no overbearing crowds running about with beach towels to claim the best sunbathing spot, etc etc. Don’t get me wrong. All this might have a right time and place. But what we wanted was “just” a very sweet, charming, cozy and unique getaway, with a central location near some places we’d want to go anyway. Well, this fit the bill! And Diane, the sweet, hot-sketch owner, was the best icing on the cake who made it all come true. Thank you, Diane! We walked to many of the beachside restaurants, and drove to some that were worth the drive. (Check out my restaurant reviews). Some very special Dream Wraver features: a porch that faced the sea and the sunsets, perfect for cocktail hour with your sweetie; lovely architectural touches; great breezes and views; and the coolest landlady you’ll ever get the chance to hug. I almost hate to post this. We want to go back and be able to get a reservation! P.S. to Diane: We will always remember your parting words: “Keep the greasy side down”!! We’re trying!

Accurately named, the Dream Weaver is by far the most charming, magical place we have ever stayed. Not just in Rocky Point, but best of anywhere we have ever stayed throughout all of our travels. It is situated perfectly across the street from the colorful 'PEÑASCO' letters in El Malecón. We stayed in the secluded room 3 on the second floor. Our quaint little private balcony overlooked an adorable little shared courtyard. With the doors open at night, we could hear the Mariachi's playing in Plaza Colosio, as well as smell the mouthwatering aromas from the nearby street vendors and restaurants. And in the morning on weekdays, we could hear the sweet sound of children playing outside at the nearby school. Whereas Mexico gives this place its magic, it is Dianna, our host, who supplies the charm. Upon arrival, she greeted us with a smile and arms open wide. It truly felt like visiting family. She walked us to our room, insisting on helping us carry our bags. As we walked, she introduced us to everyone we passed along the way and gave us many recommendations and extremely useful tips. Such as directions and how to navigate the oneway streets. (FYI, GPS evidently has no idea that they are oneway.) We originally booked here because it was convenient and affordable, but what we left with was priceless. We left with much more than just a great new experience and wonderful new memory, we left with a sweet amazing new friend. Can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: Room 3 is the most secluded. However, the stairs are very narrow and steep.

A very unusual and colorful three level structure, partly covered, with palm fronds about a block from the fish market and a plethora of restaurants, shops and bars. It's uniqueness arose from the ideas of Diane the very friendly American owner. No two rooms are alike and the room rates reflect that. There's a covered patio on the second level where guests can relax and enjoy their refreshments with a view of the sea. The rooms are simple and pretty comfortable but are unusual as the building itself.

If you need a 4 or 5 star hotel, look at the resorts. We initially picked Dream Weaver because of the location (within walking distance of the downtown Rocky Point bars, restaurants & shopping). But we met Diane and she treated us with genuine warmth from the very beginning. The rooms are clean and a little eclectic, but very comfortable. We stayed on the first floor after Diane showed us a couple room choices. But we still finished each night on the second floor veranda with a drink and other patrons. The Dream Weaver is true Mexico in the heart of Puerto Penasco.

We came to Rocky Point for a weekend getaway from busy Phoenix. After hours of driving through cactus-riddled wasteland, we arrived at Dreamweaver Inn. We were a little lost at first and Diane, the inn-keeper, was our expatriate, one-eyed angel. So dedicated to customer service, she even attempted to give me one of her own ~very floral~ coats to wear so I wouldn't get cold while exploring the town. She steered us towards the best brunch margaritas and gave us directions to the nearest beach. And everything you need is a 10 minute walk away max. You're right on the Malecon. We stayed in casita #7 which was very tiny (the entire bathroom turns into the shower) but it's the perfect size for two people that like each other. If you like to cuddle and you're relatively broke, casita #7 is for you. It opened on to a beautiful furnished veranda that looks out onto the ocean which made it feel larger. Very happy with our experience here. 10/10. Would stay at The Dreamweaver again.

As a family that travel with our dogs , we always searching place that would allow our furbabies. We live in Phoenix and I absolute have to go and see/ smell the ocean in least 3/4 times a year. So we go to RP(Rocky Point) we had the pleasure to stay at Dream Wearer Inn. What we love!!! OMG it is smack on front of Malecon Plaza where all the actions is on . During the day you be walk around to the fish market, restaurants, caffes, bars. At night , the vendors set theirs cars where they offer all the snack, fruit cups, tacos. There music, shows every night and it get noise!! but we were just fine. I even think I felt sleep by shaking my feet ! The owner Dianna is adorable and she will do whatever she can to have your stay as pleasant as possible. She came to us and we chat as long time friend! The Inn has 7 rooms .# 5 on top, and then 2 more near our. She has small ones at the back where she has an adorable courtyard( darn my camera had die and I was not able to get picture from that area)Our was #5. It can sleep 3 very comfortable. It is a simple hotel but has all the essential you need. There is a share patio and if you stay on #5 it does has your own patio where you can seat and enjoy meal or just relax. If you have knee problem or a big dog I will not recomend to get # 5 as it was hard to being the dogs up/ down all the time. Parking was not a problem, we went out many times and come back even after 6 PM and we still was able to park in front of Inn. Now play attention it is one way street that. If you not looking for all the resort ammenitiesand luxury , Dianna place is will fit in your vacation budget.

Stayed at Dream Weaver for 7 days. Diane, the owner, couldn't do enough to make us feel at home. Very small hotel, only 7 casitas, but so homey. Located 1/2 block from the Malecon and around the corner to all the merchants and restaurants. We had a small casita, #1, on the first floor. It had a livingroom/kitchenette, large bedroom, and great bathroom with a large shower. There also was a shared patio which was well furnished. Everything was supplied as far as towels, dishes, glassware, cooking appliances, coffee and lots of bottled water. Would definetly stay here again.

This little boutique property was perfect for our visit. Much more comfortable than I had expected. Great location, for strolling the malecon and access to bars, restaurants, shops, beach, etc. Far enough away for noise reduction. Diane is awesome and treated us (and my dog) like family. For the price this is a very good value, for Diane's hospitality it's a steal.

I rolled into town after fighting hurricane-like winds on my motorcycle ride up from Hermosillo. I had planned on making Puerto Penasco merely a stop over on my way home from Mexico, and I was dreading the thought of staying in some high-rise hotel overflowing with drunken party people. Thankfully, I was lucky enough to stumble upon the Dreamweaver Inn before booking myself into some overpriced resort! Diane, the lovely, kind, and gracious woman who owns the property, welcomed me in like family. She really went out of her way to ensure that I was comfortable and had everything I needed, even allowing me to stash my motorcycle in an adjacent garage overnight. The property has a charm that cannot be matched by the more resort-like hotels common to the area, and the care and thought that Diane has put into building the Dreamweaver is clearly evident. Each room is unique and has a character of it's own. The entire property is impeccably clean, and the rooms have good water pressure and hot water (this is sometimes hard to come by in Mexico). I enjoyed my stay so much that I booked a second night and lounged around the elevated deck overlooking the Sea of Cortez for a day. I look forward to returning for another visit next Spring!

Dianna was very helpful and a great hostess. I had #7 which was great for just me. Opened onto Covered patio over looking Malacon out to sea, and the sunset was great. Close to restaurants, fish market, and shopping. The Old Port is a nice place to be. They welcome pets.
