During the first week of May we visited the Grand Mayan property for the first time. Despite the finicky weather, lots of wind and rather cool for this time of year, we had a wonderful time. The beach is a literal treasure chest of shells. For the golfers in our group, they were in heaven. It is absolutely the best...

Resort is nice. We had issues with housekeeping. We were ripped off with the food coupons they charged us the difference and it fluctuated. Also in the spa we were ripped off they charged us in dollars but converted to 21 pesos/dollar and we went to pay our bill the hotel converted the pedos back to US dollar at 17...

Despite being several years old it's not finished yet it is tired . Accessabe power points 1, bath spout held on with silicone. Kitchen barely adequate . Restaurants are good despite seeing mice,go under the door. Nice beach and pools with very helpful staff. It's isolated, being a 35 min drive to town. Would I go again - Probably not.

Hotel is right on the beach, which has beautiful white sand and lots of sea shells. The hotel is quite a bit south of the town of Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) and therefore you can walk miles on the beach. The water is very clear and warm. The Jack Nicholas golf course adjacent to the property is spectacular and was...

We have a time share at the Mayan palace and this year we finally went there. It is to big for us. There are 3 other sister resorts that are together but they very in price for luxury. This is not allinclusive place but it had very reasonable prices , they run a tab on your credit card and charge...

GETTING THERE: If you fly into Phoenix, there is apparently a shuttle to the resort. About $100 each way; four hours. We drove. Going down we crossed the border at Lukeville as recommended by the US State Department. Good road. Through a desert biosphere full of saguaro cactus. Bought Mexico auto insurance (a must-have) in the super small town of...

Even if you’re not a big temple or museum person, Tulum is worth the cost of admission. The views are stunning, the beach is gorgeous, and the architecture is impressive (think about it for a moment – these buildings were constructed hundreds of years ago, before the creation of modern tools).

It was our first time. We were in the 2BR suite and it was adequate. First of all, our room was not ready when we arrived and did not become available until 5:30pm. The showers and kitchen are nowhere near the "luxury" persona that Vidanta tries to portray. Since the resort is so remote, the resort guests have the beach...

It's typical of the Vidanta resorts to be far out of the main part of the city. This resort was no exception. I would highly recommend a vehicle if you plan on doing any type of exploring in the city of Puerto Penasco. One thing at this resort that seemed a little different- the typical hand over the heart and...

Just got back from the Mayan Palace after a week stay, got a really pleasant young lady who was fully bilingual at checking, she made it easy and painless, directed us to Host Yvonne who was awesome, Yvonne's job is to sign you up for the Tour and offer you perks, I accepted and we were placed in an awesome...
