Thank you for staying and finding us to be such good value for money. We are happy we could arrange a different, more suitable room for you. We are further delighted you enjoyed your meals with us and also found our staff to be so lovely. Thanks again.

Returned again to Damson Dene and the staff were all as friendly as ever and made us welcome and comfortable. Good quality rooms that were clean and well appointed just as we have always experienced. What wasn't as good as on previous occasions was the evening meal. The hot and cold salmon starter was missing the 'hot' element! The chicken...

Thank you for your review and your repeat custom. I am sorry the meal did not live up to the expectations we have set for you. It is a rare miss on our part, but we hope the next time you visit we'll be back to the standard you expect. Thanks for your nice comments about our staff and accommodation....

Ignore all the negative reviews for Damson Dene, people are entitled to their opinion, but it would be nicer if they gave a fair and honest review, rather than looking for negative points to criticise about. Initially I was a little disappointed not to be staying in the main Hotel as I felt that I was missing out on the...

We really appreciate your helpful review. We find once people check in to the cottages they are very happy with the layout, location and comfort. We loved reading your comments about our staff and food as well. We are pleased that the doggies were well-behaved (as they usually are!) for your stay. We hope to welcome you back very soon....

Thank you - Just had a lovely two night stay. The hotel is great with a lovely old world charm and is such a relaxing place to be. It was also great we could take our little Jack Russell dog with us. We chose to eat in the restaurant on the Saturday and the meal was served in the chapel...

The best thing about this Hotel is that it's got a lovely olde world feel about it. The log fire in the lounge and the seating on the big settees make it a nice place to unwind after a long day. We must have dropped on a 'dog free' day because we never saw or even smelled one on our...

Thanks so much for your review and stay. We are pleased you enjoyed the old world feel of the hotel and that you enjoyed relaxing in the bar area. I am sorry your friends had to send their lamb back. Slightly "undercooked" lamb is actually a beautiful thing, but perhaps not to everyone's taste. We certainly hope you return to...

Stayed at the hotel some years ago. At that time it was quiet and laid back. Set in the countryside with lot's of pleasant walks at the location as well as pleasant gardens it was ideal for a relaxing weekend get together with friends. So.... we thought we would do it again, Hotel looked the same upon arrival, the weather...

As stated in the review below from this person's partner; we are very sorry they did not enjoy their stay. Yes, we are dog-friendly. We do our very best to make sure that only well-behaved, clean dogs are booked in. This being The Lakes, dogs do get wet. Normally, this is not a problem as our cleaning team are experts...

This really was a treat! We stayed 2 nights on the groupon voucher and to be fair it's a three star hotel and that's what you get. the icing on the cake is the fantastic food , lovely staff and the gorgeous surroundings. Our room was unusual the main part had no window which was odd but through a arch was a little annex with...

Thank you for visiting. Your review was enjoyable to read. Room 2 is a good family room; kids definitely enjoy being in their "own" room, but parents appreciate that they are close by as well. We are very happy that you found us to be good value and appreciate all of your comments about our food, staff and location. Thanks...

My wife and I stayed last weekend and found the hotel was very good but for one or two niggles. The water pressure in our room was low and barely able to run the shower, the other was that the internet connection was equally feeble. As a result I could not recommend this hotel for work conferencing or streaming Iplayer....

Thanks for visiting and posting your nice review. Very happy you enjoyed your stay save the couple of niggles; we are sorting out the bugs in our new WiFi system, but we aren't far from having it being perfect. Thanks again.

I had booked the two night Groupon deal for my boyfriends birthday and were really looking forward to it. We were disappointed to read this review, not least because we are quite well-known for the quality of our dining experience. As others can read on here, our food and the chefs preparing it are highly regarded for their skill. We are just sorry that this couple was unable to experience what so many others have. We do have several...
