We were blessed that our daughter's wedding was held at Budir. 47 guests 'took over' the hotel. Dadi, Marcus and Fanny together with their wonderful staff provided a wonderful wedding reception. What hotel manager would travel 300 miles to collect a bridesmaid! Thank you Dadi. Food was brilliant and service supreme. An experience to remember.

The Hotel Budir is a short ride from the main road on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, sitting in the middle of a lava field, with views of bluffs, beach, and mountains. The Hotel itself has a variety of rooms from suites, to lofts with skylights, and lounges on every floor. The bar is well stocked, and the dining is great. Complete...

We stayed here during some stormy weather. The hotel is incredibly quaint and cozy. It felt like we were staying in a friend's home. Our room had a strange configuration with a sloped ceiling and an odd shower but it was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the hotel and it was very good albeit pricey....

Stayed as the last night of an 8 day tour round Iceland. This was by far the best hotel we stayed in. Despite remote location atmosphere is sophisticated, relaxed and welcoming. Staff efficient and friendly. We were a little concerned that dinner was going to be very expensive based on their website but we had the chef's 3 course dinner...

Despite the austere exterior (fairly typical in Iceland) the hotel is extremely welcoming and cosy inside and elegantly decorated. There is a lovely full-height-windowed bar with fantastic views over the sea and mountains plus comfortable sofas in a dark cosy lounge. The dining room is elegant, simply decorated in a shaker style with dark walls - very romantic looking at...

This hotel is placed near to an nice and small church in an incredible location. It is a place to see the northern lights, to relax and to be impressed by the view. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice decoration and good rooms. They also have a good restaurant. Must reserve in advance because in the summer they have one...

This is an ideal hotel to stay in if you are exploring The Snaefellsness Peninsula. The views from the rooms are stunning. We were however very disappointed in our room - a deluxe double but there was nothing deluxe about it! The bed was very comfortable but the room was quite small and spartan - the bathroom was so tiny...

The hotel is in a very remote area called Budir. There's nothing else but the hotel and the black church. But the view is just breath-taking. The room, the service, and the food at the hotel are all just so so. But the view makes it worth everything. A must visit !!

Thank you for a nice week end. We were celebrating our 38 weeding anniversery. We had a great trip through the Snæfellsnes national park. Our deluxe room nr. 5 had a beutiful view towards the sea þand the room was comfortable. The gourmet dinners prepared by chef Thorvaldur were superb. Recommend the 5 course advendures menu. All staff were super...

Room was fine, nothing to write home about but comfortable beds. Hotel is full of character: great old natural history prints, Nat Geo collection, cozy bar and reading area. Only ate breakfast, which was ok. Nice staff. The real reason to stay here is the unparalleled setting: we saw incredible northern lights, sunrise over the lava fields and old church,...
