Very satisfied that we went there. Everything was excellent. The place is one of the best ever. If you appreciate nature, this is the place to be. Surrounded with mountains and a lake between them. It makes you feel like paradise. We experience on of the best nature observing, quite, peaceful, mind resting and feels like we experience how heaven is like, ever!! On...

The area is stunning, do not let your stay at this house of horror ruin it for you. Unwelcoming and rude host. Old moldy room with house spiders. No breakfast... restaurant was closed and you are in the middle of nowhere.

Where to begin?? We arrived at the B&B after a long, winding and treacherous drive. Admittedly we were 'early' (15,15) considering that the official echeck in time is a rather late (especially for low season) 16,00. Despite the fact that the hotel was empty, our room hadn't even been cleaned and I'm almost certain that if we hadn't shown up...

The hamlet is a tiny cluster of semi-ruined buildings about 60 ft. lower than the road and accessed by a steep stone path. The only parking is about 200 yards down the road. This was the first thing not made clear to us. The next set-back was to be told that the only restaurant around was closed for dinner every...

Antico Borgo Isolo Santa is really one of the most unique places I have ever stayed at. Set in a remote valley in an abandoned and now slowly being restored Medieval village, the location is impossible to beat. If you like nature and hiking, well away from noise and crowds then this is the place. Added to that the great...

One of the most beautiful places in the world so peaceful. i feel i was allowed to catch a glimpse of a world that if the world were like this around us it would be a much better place to live in. THe food and host was awesome. More than helpful to me a lone traveler never having been overseas...

Our family of 5 was on a vacation in Italy, and we booked a night at this lovely mountain retreat. It is quite a drive up the mountain to get there, but once you are there It is amazing. The accommodations are a bit rustic, and there are no phones or Internet, but the lake and trails around it are...

My husband and I live in Florence and work in tourism. We escaped to the region of Garfagnana to enjoy peace, quiet and Nature. If the quaint medieval stone structures of this "antico borgo" fail to charm you, then the winding green paths will. The entire time we were hiking, I felt like I was in the enchanted forest, right...
