Casa Candiles is one of those remarkable places that make traveling a real joy. We stayed for two nights at the end of a two-week trip in Mexico and were hoping to be spoiled. We weren't disappointed. Roberto, the owner, made us feel like family, treating us to his gourmet cooking, offering insider tips on sightseeing and pampering us in...

We and some family stayed at Casa Candilies from February 5-15th. This was our third year here and we would never stay anywhere else in Ixtapa. Roberto is a fabulous host, as usual, and Miguel also took very good care of us. We had a wonderful gourmet breakfast every morning in the garden. The private pool and waterfall was spectacular...

This BB/Inn is one of the best kept secrets I've ever had the pleasure to stay. Ixtapa may be an up and coming area for the very wealthy but Posada Casa Candiles is affordable and endearing to ones soul. I found my experience to be one that I will not soon forget!!! Victoria from Miami

My husband and I returned from a two-week stay at Roberto's fabulous Casa Candiles. The property is in a quiet neighborhood, is meticulously maintained, lushly landscaped, and the home and suites are beautifully decorated. Roberto and Miguel prepared gourmet, multiple-course breakfasts daily that were as appealing to the eye as tasty. We are "early morning people," and it did take...

We generally don’t like hyperbole in reviews. That said, we wish we could figure out some way of giving more than the maximum five stars to Casa Candiles. We’d been to Mexico quite a few times before, but never to Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa. Researching the area last summer, it appeared that Zihuatanejo was the funky, bustling, authentic Mexican village, while Ixtapa was...

...and more. Roberto is a fabulous host. His decorating sense is top notch without being over the top. Every convenience is available. And every detail including Roberto"s extensive knowledge of the area and entertainment opportunities. Our family felt like part of Roberto's family! Can't wait to return!!!!

My husband and I have been enthusiastic travelers for over thirty years. We have visited many parts of the world. While we have had enjoyable hotel and B&B stays, not many come close to our experience at Casa Candiles. This was truly memorable. We chose Casa Candiles because of the many very positive reviews. We found that everything that has...

I had high hopes for finding a quiet and laid back place for my much needed vacation from the city in which I live. I found just that at Casa Candiles! I was greeted by the tropical air, the bright colors and of course Roberto, who turned out to be a fantastic host. My best friend and I have a...

There have been so many great reviews of Casa Candiles that we can only say that they are all true. There are three additional things which we (as more than satisfied guests) would like to say. First, in terms of value for money, Casa Candiles is head and shoulders above anything in our experience. We have stayed in 5 star...
