Initially, I must sheepishly admit both my husband and I were doubtful that Casa Candiles could live up to the rave reviews we had read on Tripadvisor. We thought we would give it a try, however, as we aren't big-hotel travelers (too impersonal, too much like staying in the USA). What a delightful surprise! I have to say, our stay...

We discovered Casa Candiles via Tripadvisor, and to be honest, we were just a tiny bit sceptical that Casa Candiles wouldn't live up to all the reviews - not having received anything less than "excellent" in every single review. It just seemed "to good to be true". It IS true - this place IS "excellent"!! We stayed at Casa Candiles...

Have just returned from a truly wonderful week at Casa Candiles. Roberto has gone to great lengths to make his beautiful home in Ixtapa a place where his guests can relax and enjoy his talents as a gourmet chef and a gracious and accomodating host. The 3 suites in the house are all beautifully appointed.....as are the dining room and...

We stayed with Roberto for two blissful nights and have never felt so spoiled in our lives. The suite was lovely, the service amazing and the atmosphere serene. Unfortunately, I was not feeling well and could not enjoy the amazing supper but my husband says it was the best fish he has ever eaten in his life. The pool area...

My husband and I and another couple recently stayed for two superb weeks at Casa Candiles. As other reviewers have noted, the house is beautiful, comfortable and well-appointed, and the grounds and pool lovely. The innkeeper, Roberto, is a fabulous chef, which guests will experience both at breakfast and when he offers treats – iced cappuccino, homemade ice cream, guacamole...

My Fiance' and I had a fantastic time with Roberto and Miguel, extremely hospitable and professional in every aspect! The house is amazing, the grounds are luxurious and incredibly comfortable, and Roberto is a great chef(take it from someone who has been in the restaurant biz for many years..however Miguel took over one morning and did a smashing job as...

My husband and I and 3 other friends spent 5 days in Paradise at Casa Candiles. The Inn is so beautiful, the food is delicious, but even more...the innkeeper Roberto and his sidekick Miquel treat you like kings and queens. Every room is so beautiful. The pool and gardens are absolutely gorgeous. Greeted with fresh coffee (great coffee) in the...

Casa Candiles is absolutely beautiful and Roberto is the perfect host! Roberto sets you up for the day with a delish and filling breakfast. After spending the day at the gorgeous beach or checking out the sites of Ixtapa, Casa Candiles is the perfect sanctuary to unwind and enjoy a drink or two poolside. I'm a pretty fussy traveler and...

This was our fourth visit and we made it for Christmas knowing that Roberto wou ld show our family a wonderful time. The breakfasts were incredible, the rooms were pristine, and the ambiance perfect. The little improvements done in the last year just added to the charm. We loved the beach, easily the top beach on the west coast for...

We were lucky enough to spend three whole weeks at Casa Candiles. We were there from December 8th to 29th and we'd go back tomorrow if work didn't get in the way :) Roberto truly is the perfect host... Our room was fantastic!
