We booked a night in the garden view room. The room was lovely and spacious with a comfortable bed and the most amazing shower. We had a great tasty breakfast in the morning in the conservatory with a great view of the garden. We would love to return here again and had a warm welcome from Daniele and 2 lovely...

If you like a bland corporate style, this is not for you. Swan House is full of character (in a good way!), with interesting decor. It is located down a quiet side road off the main drag in Kelvedon, just a few minutes walk from the station and very close to two great pubs. Our room was lovely, light and...

My family and I stayed here last weekend - normally we stay with family while in Kelvedon, but since this was a wedding, thought it would be best to not be under their feet on such an important weekend. Swan House was lovely and we will be staying there again! The rooms were spotless and each one has lots of...

Stayed in the river room last night. Room was very basic almost like someones spare room. Tea and coffee facilities were sparce and there was no milk and we were not offered any. Drawers were full of owners belongings, toiletries, used razors and prescribed drugs!!! Toilet was filthy and would not flush. Room was cold and damp. Heating was eventually...

I would not recommend the River View room. The River View room and bathroom was full of the owners unwanted and old belongings in every draw, surface space and on the walls. It felt as though you were invading their space and I wasn't sure if I had left things behind as there were no surfaces free of their belongings....

Look at the building from the outside and you might wonder where you're going to fit. But the tiny frontage conceals a deeply extended house with the B&B accommodation in its own wing. We had a lovely big, sunny first-floor room with a comfortable superking-size bed, an ample sofa and other tastefully chosen rustic antique furniture. If you need to...

Stayed here for one night after attending near by wedding. We stayed in the garden room which was spacious and lovely decor. Roger was a friendly guy who provided us breakfast in the morning and also out of kindness ran us back to wedding venue to pick up our cars that had been left there the night before. Would definately...

What can I say about the beautiful b&b. It's on a quiet lane right next to river black with ducks waiting to greet you! Looking at the b&b from the outside it looks small but on entering its like being in Dr who's tardis, it's huge. We was greeted by the lovely owner and welcomed in. We had chosen the...

We stayed at Swan House on saturday as we had a family party. I read the other reviews before booking but did'nt realise home from home was just that, felt like i was staying in a distant relatives house. The house was lovely, but the bedroom was like stepping into a room vacated by a young child 30yrs ago, everything...
