Recommended by our daughter - she wasn't wrong! Fantastic food, beautiful room, extremely helpful staff and good location for exploring the area. Attractive indoor and outdoor eating areas. Big car park. Can't rate this inn highly enough.

We have stayed here which was fantastic but today was Sunday lunch. This pub has great ambiance, the food was ace, highly recommended the home made black pudding, so crispy and tasty. The roast presented fantastically and backed up by great service. Steve the boss is so in touch with his customers and a huge shout out to Lucy who is so good. Lucy’s table service was as good as I have seen. Such awareness of what people needed. Cannot recommend this place too much. We had a great Sunday experience. Thanks 👊

The dining room and bar are well furnished, feeling homely and cosy, serving delicious food and a good selection of drinks. The bedroom, was beautifully decorated. We stayed in the coach house annex which is just next door to the pub

We stayed 6 nights at the Black Horse Inn, it is a great central location for North Yorkshire. We arrived on the Sunday lunch time when the pub was in full flow, but once we checked in and settled the place and staff were fantastic. Travelling with our staffie Sam can sometimes be a challenge, but the staff and locals were great and made us feel part of the family. We dined in the pub every night and the food and service was first class even to the point of Sol the pastry chef made my wife a special dessert for our last night. The room was cleaned and serviced perfectly every day We enjoyed ourselves so much we are going back in December and can’t wait.

My cousin and I stayed for 3 nights with my Nan and would highly recommend the hotel. The staff from check in to check out ensured we were comfortable and made sure we created lovely memories. The food was fantastic and the rooms were beautiful and incredibly comfortable. We were all able to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Thank you again to the staff who made our stay and we hope we can return soon.
